My Cousins 8 Month Old Westie (small dogs with white fluffy hair) was ripped apart by a German Sheppard......He was being walked down the street...and a german Sherpard not on a leash came up and attacked him.....They just called us and told....There demanding that the Dog be put down....whih i agree.....And the poor little fella had the cutest name to.....OSCAR.....

And the Thing is, if it was a small child there then the kid would have been mauled to death.

I agree that, unless it was a stray or had rabies, the owners' are responsible. And, unfortunately, what happened was only natural for an aggressive dog to do.

Though it definitely doesn't ease the situation - which is a pretty terrible one.
