I don't think they're selling them.

I don't really care that much about harddrives. What I really hate is not being able to transfer my Brawl or MKW data onto an SD card b/c of the online stuff. They should have at least made the game data a separate save file so you can copy that in the event something happens to your Wii.

I agree Spidey...I use an SD card as my storage for all my WiiWare and VC games, to me it's just like storing them on a shelf at home.

But I do hate not being able to transfer those two games save datas for backup. I'm paranoid that should something happen to my system, I'll lose hundreds of hours of data.

I'm really worried b/c I have to carry my Wii through the Bronx, subway, and train when I want to take it home with me. If someone stole my bag from me on the street, I would hunt them down relentlessly.

So can you not save games with the SD card at all if they have on-line capabilities? I just got the Wii, so I don't really know much about all the memory and stuff yet.

Also, what is the deal with the wii channels, like the mario kart channel. I figured it would take a lot of space, so I haven't added it. But does it make the game go faster when using the channel or make it so you don't need the game in the system to play?

Games like that connect online such as Mario Kart and Brawl cannot be copied onto an SD card. I think it's because Nintendo has the Wii function as its own server.

An SD card is worth buying to back up your other games' content.

wow that really sucks though about MK and Brawl. I don't have brawl yet but will probably get it over the holidays. But I have been unlocking countless characters, bikes, and karts from mario kart and I would be made as heck if something happened to my wii b/c some of them were a pain to get. That really sucks that you can't at least save your progress etc.
