Okami Wii!!!!!!!!!

Okami is easily the best PS2 title. This is great news.

Guaranteed 5 copies sold.

Even though you're being sarcastic, mr sarcastic face, I think you are right in that prediction.

I mean the PS2 title only sold about 10 copies.

Okami, Psychonauts, Ico, Beyond Good & Evil....all four of these masterpieces fell to the not enough attention curse.:csad:

The first time I used a brush move in Okami, I thought "this game was practically built for the DS." The Wii is close enough.

Awesome news. The brush aspect definitely fits for the Wii. Now it will get the respect it deserves.

yay. i've always wanted to play this game for the longest time but i have a gamecube, and didnt want to buy a ps2 just for one game or two....plus it just seemed akward playing w/ an analogue stick but the wii-remote would just be perfect........come on capcom polish this baby up an add a few exras and its a go!

I have been waiting months for the official word. SO PSYCHED!!!!:woot: :woot: :woot:

How old is this game? Seems like a strange time to port it over - I liked the RE4 port though.

I was totally smitten with the PS2-version, but like with every great game that ventures to be slightly different, the sales aren't nowhere near where they should be - instead we have people buying the same sports games year after year after year. And with Nintendo's marketing... it'll be tough.

I'm actually contemplating if I should get the Wii-version or not. I've already bought the PS2-version, and truthfully, why does it feel like I buy the same games over and over - I must've bought the first Resident Evil like... four or five times. There are other games, with the latest being the excellent RE4 Wii Edition.

I want original concepts and new games dagnabbit!

That said, Okami will be freaking awesome with the free-hand drawing function. I wish it will sell like crazy. I honestly do. Nintendo desperately needs a big hit from a 3rd party developer or it'll just be another Mario-console.

I don't think this will be a straight up port.

Ready at Dawn are the guys behind Daxter and God of War PSP, FYI. Personally I think there are some things they COULD change, but I guess they won't.

I'm not saying that they would do a terrible job of adding on, they could make some fantastic add ons. However, I think that this game was the greatest thing to come out of Clover Studios, it is already a masterpiece as it is and since none of the original creators were involved they should just work on making the brush system work perfectly with the wiimote. Especially because, as Malenfant said, there are people who haven't played the PS2 version (I'm betting a decent amount of Wii owners fit this category) and this will be their first introduction to it. That said, it really shouldn't be more than $29.

Game came out today. Reviews have been good like the PS2 version.
