Endgame Okoye - Danai Gurira

Discuss Okoye in Avengers 4. Badass and at times hilarious introduction for Okoye in Black Panther and glad to see her in Infinity War. She is alive at the end of IW so it will be interesting to see what she is given to do in the early parts of Avengers 4.

I expect there to be some events there early in the film as everyone left recovers. Shuri and Banner could be working on Vision too. After those early events though I wouldn't expect to see it again in the 2nd half of the film.

Agreed, Wakanda will feature in the beginning since that's where we last saw some of them.

Danai Gurira mentioned filming a scene for one of these movies in which Okoye expresses her exasperation at all of these foreigners in her country bringing their world-ending problems with them; she apparently particularly dislikes Rocket. Outside of little moments like that though, I'm not expecting a ton of Wakanda-specific plot development (although they did apparently add more scenes to Avengers 4 in reshoots) so I doubt anyone outside of Shuri will get much to do.

That said, I feel like they have to address who if anybody is the Black Panther at this point. As much as I've hoped to eventually see Shuri take on that role, it would be quite badass if Okoye stepped up. (Although if you want to believe supposed trailer description from this past weekend,

M'Baku is now the acting king, which I'd imagine would get rid of the tradition seeing as there's a difference of religious practices.

Will be interesting seeing someone else on the throne. Wakanda will likely just be a staging post to get things rolling for the rest of the film.

Yes I want to see more of all 3 of them. Shuri at least we should be seeing doing something significant early on in the film. I'll make one

That was one of the funniest lines of the whole film, especially the way she delivered it. Got huge laughs at all of my screenings.

I hope Danai plans to leave The Walking Dead sometime in season 10 and focus on films. I read she was up for a role in the new Star Trek film as well as the Godzilla vs King Kong flick in 2020.

She has too because I personally find her more entertaining than T'Challa.

TWD needs to just end period, it's wash-rinse-repeat storylines each season and I stopped watching after they killed off Glen. Yes, Danai needs to star in more movies. She's a good captivating actor who portrays believable badasses.

Wow, she could be awesome in a Star Trek film. Her BP appearance was a great advert for future roles.
