SF's predictions for Doom:

-Latveria will have some ties to Sokovia somehow. Likely neighbors or something.

-The Doombots and maybe even Doom's armor will likely have been prototypes based on Ultron Drones.

-Would not be shocked if he studied with the Ancient One pre Stephen Strange, or even if he sought Strange out as a surgeon or something depending upon when his accident happened.

Always loved the fan idea that Latveria was borne out of Sokovia or took it over after its collapse at Ultron’s hands (Doom saw an opportunity to seize control).

The Ancient One/Strange connection would be fun too.

Doom Disney+ could easily adapt parts of "Books of Doom" and also give us his connection to sorcery. Go into what happened to his mother. Cameo Reed in college. It almost all writes itself.

I hope not though I wouldnt be strongly against it. If anything I say make Reed Asian or black, The Storms white or latino, Ben...white.
I wouldn't mind either way.

I have been thinking about.this before Watts but I'm not the only one. This would come off a lot better than just changing Johnny Storm I believe.

What does everyone think theyre gonna do with Dr Doom. I’m betting that theyre gonna save Doom for further down the line but Victor will be a character in the movie, maybe a friend to Reed that we see gradually descend to villainy.

I’m betting we’ll see him and the FF characters, pre-powers, starting to show up soon.

I’d love to see Reed and Doom and Ben all in college, but they might have to force that.

Maybe they could have Doom and Reed working on a high-tech project with Ben as a test pilot.

I’d love to see this but only AFTER we’ve seen him as the Universe’s ultimate bad-guy.

I don’t want to start with Doom as a boy.

Agreed—villain first; then we can delve into his backstory.

I'd actually keep his childhood stuff vague and ambiguous and start with his rise in Latveria in his adulthood. At least to start.

I don't want any boy Doom stuff. I don't want to see him piloting a pod racer or becoming a moody teenager lusting after his older baby sitter whom he knew when he was that boy racer.

Always thought Richard Armitage would make a fantastic Doom, but really depends on the age of the cast they’re going for. He’s 49 now, though arguably looks a bit younger.

Was going to read the last 10 pages or so but couldn't be bothered lol. I'm not surprised they went with someone like Watts for the first film. They need to play it safe. Even if that means it has to be a bit of a generic film. All they need to start of with is a good F4 movie. Who knows who they might get to direct the sequels.

There's no law saying Watts has to direct the sequels he could be the guy they just feel most comfortable with bringing the F4 into the MCU. Feige worked with him on 3 spidey films now. They know they get along well that is the key thing here I dont think people realize. They cant not afford to have creative differences on this movie. I think Feige is going to be more involved on this film than he has been on other MCU movies. Because he understands how important making a good F4 movie is. If this movie flops thats it. Its over for the F4 on the big screen. You wont see this franchise for 10+ years at least. So making a good movie is priority number 1. They can worry about shaking things up for the sequels.

I'd love to see Matthias Schoenaerts as Doom.

He’d be good—I do like Michael Huisman too

I still like Luca Marinelli as well (not convinced that his Italian accent is a prohibitor).

I can actually this. For those saying leave Doom out of the trilogy................stop it. Doom is THE ultimate bad guy of the Marvel universe. He has to be there. He and Galactus are a must for the next phase of the MCU. Especially following Thanos.

I dont necessarily think they need to follow up thanos with galactus and doom right away. I think kang definitely has potential to be short term big threat until they get doom established.

I hope the films aren't focused on Reed and the cast get equal time to shine. Have it feel like a team instead of the lead and his glorified supporting cast. GotG has this problem.

That "Secret Invasion" project feels like it's perfect to back door Doom in.

Basically swap out Doom for Osbourne to a degree in the larger scheme of the story if not it's content.

Build Doom up not as Thanos but as the wild card spoiler that all sides in any conflict have to wary of.

So maybe Doom is the "villain" that is also working against the Skrulls? ( I mean... It IS gonna be Skrulls in some capacity I assume.) This sets him up as a formidable foe without getting him into direct conflict with the heroes right away. Hell, maybe it's after Doom is a big part of thwarting the Skrulls that we see him being recognized among the heroes as a person to be feared and monitored?

One way not to have everything focused on Reed is to have a Marvel Two in One Disney+ series starring the Thing. He can team up with a different MCU hero each week.

Yes... I'm sure they'll get right on adding another show to their slate that they've planned out to the Nth degree. :o

That would be years down the line if anything. Likely after they've finished however many films they have planned. Also, it's better to have the films not focus solely on Reed in the first place rather than give the others attention after all is said and done.

Why does it have to be years down the line? It can be between films. They won't be having sequels every two years. They can make series in the meantime.

As for the films they can be a team focus but with different A, B and even C plots going on.
