Fassbender for Doom. Maybe a little typecast but man he would own it. Been thinking about directors again as well.

Currently my top 3 for MCU F4.

Matthew Vaughn
Peyton Reed
Jon Watts

The more I think about it, the more I like it. I can totally picture Rogen's voice reading Ben's lines.

Yeah, I’ve definitely heard worse suggestions and he does have that loveable blue eyed thing type personality. Wait does he have blue eyes? Wait I’ll check. (He doesn’t but whatever I ain’t bothered. You can cgi or contact lens a thing like that.)

Hey they should get his real life buddy Andy samberg to play Reed!

Hey did you know Yancy Street isn’t a real place? I didn’t. But I’m not a New Yorker. I just assumed it was real, like Harlem or something

Seth Rogen even has the voice for Ben Grimm. It is naturally gruff at times as you'd expect, and not if he were to turn into a rock monster but just as his normal self.

I think Yancy Street is based on Delancey Street in New York.

If they're gonna get one of Rogen's friend's to play Reed, I'd much prefer JGL

Reed and Vaughn would be fine but keep Watts away from the F4.

I just keep imagining Javier Bardem's voice for Doom, and now I'm going to be disappointed if someone else plays him. Age doesn't really matter that much for Doom. They can de-age him for flashbacks (as they've done before), and keep him behind the mask for the rest of the time.

If they could get Matthew Vaughn, I would be okay with this.

Here's a new and virtually unknown name for Reed Richards, but one who is about to become known very soon.

Ethan Peck

I had never heard of him before until today. But I looked him up. He's the grandson of Hollywood legend Gregory Peck, and he's just been cast as Spock in season 2 of Star Trek Discovery.

He's 32, looks the part, and has the Hollywood leading man looks like his grandfather and like 60s Reed. He also has a great, deep and intelligent voice like Gregory Peck, and will be playing someone super intelligent and cerebral like Spock.

He might be a little young at 32, but by the time the FF is in production or even appearing in other Marvel movies he could be in his mid 30s by then.

What do you think?

I’ve never seen this guy act but I like his look and I agree he sounds quite articulate.

I think he would be a good fit for Dr. Richards. Or maybe the Silver Surfer?

Why shave that head when he's got the perfect Reed Richards hair? Being the grandson of Gregory Peck already gives him a kind of elder statesman feel (or legacy) without actually being older. You need that for Reed.

If this guy crushes it as Spock then that’s going to put him on Marvel’s radar especially since we know Feige is a lifelong Trekkie he’ll likely be watching Discovery when Peck plays Spock. So he if he delivers then Feige will likely be interested in him.

I think this also illustrates, since most of us hadn't heard of him, there are others like that out there.

No need to go for a big name, just find someone who fits the part and can act.

I completely agree.

Never heard of Tom Holland before his role as Spider-Man and he ended up being my favorite portrayal of the character.

Peck certainly has an old world and classic movie star look about him similar to Jon Hamm, and not like these modern-looking actors. You can see this particularly in this commercial here.

That kind of look would be perfect for Reed.

If he brings the bravado and leading man looks of Gregory Peck and the cerebral aloofness and logic of Spock, then he could be perfect for the role. We've just got to see how he does now in Star Trek Discovery.

So my picks for Fantastic Four are now:

Reed Richards - Ethan Peck (provisionally depending on how he does as Spock)

Sue Storm - Lily James

Ben Grimm - Seth Rogen

Johnny Storm - ?

I don't think Reed and Ben have to be the exact same age. First off, Ben will be covered in rocks for most of the movie. Second, he could easily have been older. Reed could've been a prodigy and went to college earlier, so he was younger than others in his class including Grimm.

Ethan Peck and Lily James would also be a good age match and physical match. Both would have a very classic Reed and Sue look.

Can you imagine having a young Gregory Peck to play Reed? That would be amazing. Maybe his grandson could be close.

I agree. I think Ethan Peck could only get better with age just like Gregory Peck did. GP started out around the same age but it was probably only once he hit his 40s and beyond that he really was hitting his stride and had gained a certain maturity and gravitas.

Ethan Peck could grow into the role if he starts out in his mid 30s.

Ethan Peck - Reed Richards
Dakota Johnson - Sue Storm
Scott Eastwood - The Thing
Patrick Schwarzenegger - The Human Tourch

Max Irons - Doctor Doom

Isn’t max irons a bit sexy for doctor doom?

Yeah allegedly it was.

And hey if they get Rogen it adds new meaning to the term baked clay

Max Irons - Doctor Doom

Except for Irons and maybe Peck depending on his performance in Discovery.
I feel this cast sucking up all the charisma out of the air. Like a black hole where charisma (and acting talent in the case of Eastwood) goes to die.
