Why? The worst received rendition went the young route. The only one who should be young and in their early 20s is Johnny.

The rest should be in their 30s.

Johnny should be in his teens and Sue was suppose to be an early 20-something in the comics but I think she'll be in her late 20s to early 30s as not to make the relationship with Reed awkward.

They need really charismatic leads for this one. Miles Teller is a fine actor but was not charismatic at all. I didn't mind Kate Mara, but that bunch of actors just didn't work together.
Casting is crucial if they want to distance themselves from previous incarnations.

Michael Cudlitz would make a good Ben Grimm if they were going for a older cast.

If Ethan Peck does well as Spock, he'd be good as Reed. You need someone with the charisma of Gregory Peck. If he's anything like his grandfather, that would be a real find. Gregory Peck himself, even when he was younger, had an elder statesman feel about him which is exactly what you need for Reed.

Peck is a solid age to me too. Him for Reed, Dianna Agron for Sue, James Wolk for Ben and Dacre Montgomery for Johnny I think could work.

I don't want Dianna Agron for Sue. It makes it feel too much like Glee and too CW-ish. I prefer someone like Lily James who is a higher calibre film actress. She seems more like the kind that Marvel might go for too, since she's not overly big but she's making her mark.

I don't want Dianna Agron for Sue. It makes it feel too much like Glee and too CW-ish. I prefer someone like Lily James who is a higher calibre film actress. She seems more like the kind that Marvel might go for too, since she's not overly big but she's making her mark.

I had Agron because I feel she has a strong presence, but I've thought twice about the casting myself. Maybe not Lily James, but Blake Lively or Emma Stone.

Johnny should definitely have that tweenish Shawn mendes celebrity look. Susan more poised and polished like Ingrid Bergman, doesn’t have to be white to be poised of course. Reed a Montgomery clift type look and Ben? Don’t shoot the messenger but he should be like Bendis. Bulky, tough mensch with heart with hutzpah

I’m trying to work out who Stan will cameo as. At first I thought Walter Collins the grumpy landlord. I love the idea of the fantastic four having to work and live with civilians. But I think collins is more of a dr bellows type role, maybe something for a perennial grump like Harrison Ford.

Maybe Abe shoenstein the food vendor who’s always hanging out the front of the Baxter building

A Choice: Jon Hamm

Im gonna keep casting this guy in superhero roles until he takes one god damn it lol. He's got the look pretty much nailed already. The only concern is im not sure if I have ever seen him play a super genius before.

B Choice: John Krasinski

Fan interest started this one and now I think he would make an excellent Reed. The only potential downside I have thought is (and this is just from what I have read) isn't Reed a bit of a dick? Not intentionally like Hank Pym levels of it. Hank's is more an ego thing where I think im right in saying Reed just has so much going on that he doesn't have as much room for things like empathy in his brain. And John just seems so nice.

Sue Storm

A Choice: Alice Eve

She just looks like she would make the perfect Sue Storm. She is beautiful, but I would also buy her as a strong leader and as super intelligent.

B Choice: Emily Blunt

Like her husband she has already been imagined in the role and she would be a great choice. Emily could pull of the mother figure of the group very well and she's just an all around great actress.

Johnny Storm

A Choice: Taron Egerton

There is something about the guy where I think he could convey perfectly that youthful confidence and arrogance that Johnny is known for. Plus you can sell him an early to mid 20's if you want a big age gap between Johnny & Sue.

B Choice: Nick Robinson

If they want to go big on the age gap then Nick might be a better choice. It would also be fun seeing the 16/18 year old getting powers and going totally off the rails.

The Thing

A Choice: Joel Edgeton

I watched Bright for the first time a few days ago, way whatever you will about the film but it gave me incredible hope in Joel's ability to convey emotions under heavy prosthetics. Plus I think he would nail the gruff voice. Also he's been a movie called The Thing lol.

B Choice: Dean Norris

Personally I've always just seen him as a great potential actor for The Thing lol no idea why. And he had some great moments in Breaking Bad so we know he can really act.

Dean Norris looks like someone's grandfather, or at least like Sue or Johnny's father. And Taron Egerton seems too old for Johnny. He certainly seems older than Tom Holland.
