I can only see her a Felicity and I can't stand Felicity. Plus she's not the strongest of actresses...

Heck no to Emily Bett Rickards as Sue. I don't want to see her doing her trembling and whining voice whenever she has to do anything remotely dramatic. She would be absolutely terrible in the role.

If we had to get any CW actress as Sue, then I'd rather have Melissa Benoist than EBR. But I'd rather they don't go that route at all and pick a film actress instead.

Oh, I know some people on this board don't like her, but I do. Second choice would probably be Blake Lively.

I think you just went with a typecast blondie who plays the resident nerd on a show.

Marvel would have to be very desperate to cast EBR as Sue when they have their pick of any film actress they like who would be lining up to play in their movies. They can't really afford to cast the FF with such mediocre actors this time round. And EBR really is mediocre. Any dramatic scene is extremely cringe worthy.

That’s a bit mean, Evan Rachel Wood was great in “across the universe”

He really would. He's a New Yorker, Jewish, obviously talented and has a great voice. The only question is should the actor for Ben Grimm be closer to the age of the rest of the cast? If they cast a mid-to-late thirties Reed is a fifty-year-old Ben too old? Or does it not matter since Thing will probably be CGI for most of the movie anyway?

Well, I mean it’s not impossible but I would like to see reed and Ben be of a similar age so they could go to college together. Plus it just builds that comraderie and doesn’t through off the dynamic of Ben as the uncle of the family

The real conversation is which esteemed actress will play Victor's mother, the Lady Cynthia Von Doom, in the origin flashbacks.

(Eva Green up there works for me.)

Oh has to be franke potente, anyone else would be criminal!

Chris Pratt was just a TV star when he was cast too. That worked out Great.
Lily James seems a bit young to play Sue.

It's not just about being a TV star. It's that EBR is a bad actress.

And that's a joke about Lily James being too young when she's 29 and EBR is 27. By that same token EBR seems a bit young to play Sue too.

Marvel are so good at that anti ageing thing now with Douglas and Kurt Russell. I think you could easily use that or just have in a make-up chair for a while.

With the right make up or maybe a bit of camera trickery you could sell me that Liev is in his early 40's which I think would be a decent dynamic. Ben & Reed late 30's or early 40's, Sue early 30's and Johnny early 20's.

 Don't know if that post is referring to me. It comes directly after mine. But EBR refers to Emily Bett Rickards not Evan Rachel Wood.

John Cena as Doctor Doom.

Seth Rogen is still my choice for Ben. Seth, Lily James, Dacre Montgomery and John Krasinski.

For Doom - I still really like the idea of Matthias Schoenaerts

Lily for Sue and Seth for Ben are my picks too.

Still have to wait to see about Ethan Peck for Reed. Star Trek Discovery doesn't air until January 2019. Don't know why, since Season 1 started in October 2017.

For me it's:

Oscar Isaac as Reed
Evan Rachel Wood as Sue
Dacre Montgomery or Cole Sprouse as Johnny
David Harbour or Seth Rogen as Ben

I like him for Doom lol hopefully he gets one or the other.

Yeah, he's a flexible guy. The way he portrayed Apocalypse made me think that could have just as easily been Doom as well.

In my opinion a good portrayal of Reed is very similar to Doom. It's part of what makes him an interesting and complex character. It's why I'm not the biggest fan of the Krasinksi fan cast. Reed sometimes makes decisions that lack empathy and are based in cold hard science and in his opinion are necessary. I don't see a Kransinski Reed pulling that off. But I can see Isaac being able to do it while remaining relatively likable.

Reed is the type of person that would put his dangerously powerful son in coma to protect him from himself and others. He hated himself for doing it and it nearly ended with Sue divorcing him, but he believed that it needed to be done. That's the type of man Reed is and I can't see a Krasinski's version of Reed ever making that decision. Isaac on the other hand could easily pull off such a complex character.

I remember someone saying that to Reed Richards everyone is like a toddler and how frustrating it must be. Plus I think that Reed may be on the autistic spectrum.
