Oliver Stone plans another 9/11-movie

We've already heard that Director Oliver Stone is considering a second project revolving around the events of 9/11, now though it's been hinted that follow-up will be quite bit more controversial than "World Trade Center".

There could be a "fascinating project (on) what happened after September 11," the director told journalists while in Moscow as part of a world tour for WTC reports INQ7.

"There is a great story in a movie, a conspiracy by a group of people in the American administration who have an agenda and who used 9-11 to further that agenda" he added.

Sounds like the real Oliver Stone to me, I would see that rather than World Trade Center.

I think it's pretty plain to see that the Bush administration used 9/11 to further thier agenda. I don't necessarily want to see this movie because I don't like the fact that these movies are making profit off of tragedy but the story probably does need to be told...and more people are willing to see a movie than read a book I'm sure, as sad as that is.

The only thing, which is strange for me is why directors cut all scenes in their movies (Spidey 1 or MIB-2 as examples), which remind ppl 9/11 and now make movies like United 93 or WTC?

My opinion doesn't have governemnt approval either. People just like to twist things to convince you it's wrong to back the US government, no matter what you say.

A bunch of terrorists who claimed to be muslim decided to play chicken with a couple of skyscrapers whilst in an airplane. However, if someone wants to believe in some vast "government conspiracy involving reptilians, holograms, sunspots, the mayan calendar, magick *********ion, and the third base coach for the Cleveland Spiders, I honestly don't give a damn.

Besides, does anyone blindly believe what the government says? There should always be a healthy dose of cynicism and skepticism with regards to the government. That doesn't mean that you create a government conspiracy because you got a paper cut from a government document or stubbed your toe at a national park.

True, you shouldn't believe the government if there's good reason to believe that they're lying to you. But I have yet to see any evidence that this happened any more than I have seen to believe that Niel Armstrong's first moonwalk was shot in a studio. And I've seen a heckuvalot MORE evidence to believe that there are lots of faschist muslim terrorists in the middle east who want to see Americans die, and had the means to accomplish it on 9/11.

That said, you can believe whatever you want in regards to government conspiracies, but I do NOT like it one bit when conspiracy theorists try to tell me I'm blind or naive just because my deductions brought me to a different opinion than theirs.

Also, our government is too stupid to conspire against us. Look at how much trouble they have keeping things confidential as it is.

What in the world are you talking about?? There have been...what...two 9/11 movies? Neither of those movies have been broad enough to deal with the political aspects of the tragedy, much less putting the US in an "angelic" light. Therefore, you cannot be tired of a type of movie that hasn't even been made yet, can you?

And get it straight. The COUNTRY has never screwed anyone over. Its the GOVERNMENT. You think the 3000 people that died had ANYTHING to do with anything other than going on about their lives?? Regardless of what their government has done, THEY did not deserve to die and all of the American bashers should at least get that through their thick, inhumane skulls.

This is true. It's difficult to NOT make the US be portrayed in an "angelic light", and to do otherwise is usually overcompensating. We were attacked by vicious barbarians who despise our way of life and were filled with nothing but blind hatred. The TV miniseries "The Path to 9/11" sheds a little light on the government's shortcomings that helped make 9/11 possible, but to say that the US government somehow screwed the fascist islamics over and provoked them into attacking us is definately overcomensating.
