A few months ago, my mom received $100,000 from a will. She gave $20,000 to my brothers family & $20,000 to myself. I used some of it to make a lump sum payment on my mortage. I also purchased new eyeware, the frames are hand made fron France ( Alan Milki), and some other things. I still have about almost half of the original $20,000.

Now my sister in law took a trip to disneyland with her family & brought gifts for her entire office she werks at & all her family. They also took a summer vacation & got a custom made urn for their cat that died. I am pretty sure they blew the entire $20,000. I doubt they made a lump sum payment on their mortage or on their big ass SUV.

Today, my mom called me & told me that my sister in law came by & asked her for $5000. When my mom said nothing, she went to my dad. My parents did not give in.

I told my mom to tell them to go get a line of credit at prime plus whatever like everyone else. The kicker is that my parents just took out my sister in law & her entire family to a really nice brunch yesterday as part of their anniverssary.

WTF????:wow::huh:

How can you go ask someone for $5000 after that & after receiving $20,000 ?

This is not the 1st time this has happened. My sister in law used my parents as a sort of free day care service for their 2 kids for the past 10 years. She also asked my parents for $10,000 for all new furniture when they purchased their house 16 years ago, which my parents said NO! And the really goofy part is my sister in law ONLY FREAKIN WORKS PART TIME!!!!!!:cmad:

Something should be done about that,i can imagine your parents must be kind. Some people are a bit too kind, make your feelings known.Tell your parents,i can imagine they will understand.

Tell them to ditch the b****.

so wait your parents got 100 grand, and the blew it instead of investing it?

I inherited $2000 from my grandfather when he died, and since I was the only one he gave anything to, there were hard feelings all around. I split the money with my siblings (though I could have really used it all) and the others squandered it on clothes and partying. I should have kept it all.

You could have made them work for their share. Sent them down the mines or something like that. :ninja:

That sucks, Deathlok.

When my dad dies, I am the... crap.. I can't think of the word.
But I am the person that makes sure that everything he has stated in his will goes to whomever he desired it to go to. I get everything, but I have to make sure that some things go to some other people, like my aunt and my cousin, etc.

OMG tell your parents to not give her another cent.

And can I have some money? I want an xbox 360. :) I'll be your slave.

The sister-in-law should be grateful she even got 20,000. And working part-time for 20 years? Sorry, I meant 10 years. Wow.

Executor of the Will

I had a feeling that Deathlok was a spoiled little rich boy. I think I hate him even more now (kind of hard to hate him more than I do now though)... and I hate his family as well.

Slave to Deathlok? You curse yourself.

Yeah, because wasting the money on hand made glasses that will probably get sat on eventually and break is such a sound investment.

its not a waste. I got a REALLY good deal on them, they were only $650 including lens & I also got those transitions lens that darken in sunlight or bright rooms. I also picked up a handy dandy HDTV dual tuner with PVR & subbed to NFL Sunday Ticket & I also get movie central HD & NFL network! And new wood laminate floors on my main floor

I could see if she was your real sister. But not sister-in-law. F**k that cooze.

I cannot believe that b**** had the audacity to ask her mother-in-law for more money after receiving 20 grand. What a w****. She sounds like one of those floozies that hardly works, pawns the poor kids off to someone else, tans, hangs out with friends, and thinks she is still a teenager.

See Anna Nicole Smith.

Grow Up. Its your parents money, not yours. They are adults and can do what they want. Its also none of your business what your brother and his wife do with their money. Speaking of your brother, how come you dont mention him? Did your sister in law force him to "squander" his share?

Kind of reminds me of my sister. She usually manipulates both my parents for money, when in most cases we don't have that much for things like that. But of course, my mom buys into it..feels sorry for my sister, because
it's not fair she should miss out on things...or some equally stupid reason. She says this now, but then I'm sure she'll be cursing her face off at me when we don't have enough money for the bills and something like the gas gets cut off agian. :cmad:

Uh..anyway, at least your sister is spending it all on other people and not using it for some selfish little thing. I mran, what does she want the money for? bills?
That's not so bad..if she needs it, she needs it. You don't want your sister to fall behind on bills and get something turned off or lose her vehicle do you?

And I agree somewhat with, Pyro Max...it is their money after all. She does have kids, I imagine. Kids are costly.

That's terrible. Sounds like instead of working for what she has, she just wants it handed to her...and it's messed up that she's taking advantage of your parents. I'd say it's more than goofy that your sister-in-law only works part time....it's just plain lazy. If she needs the money, she can work for it!
