I'll never understand people who smoke.
If you can be addicted to anything, are they addicting, or do you have an Addictive Personality? You can be addicted to anything.

Don't blame the object, blame the addiction.

I said this before, when you stop eating, you didn't quit eating. When you stop working for the day, you didn't quit your job. I stopped smoking. If you stopped a habit, you quit it.
Just sayin', FairTax will never exist. So smoke upIt's been one week today since I've had a Cigarette.

Thank you Star.Good Job SuBe!
Also for people who are saying Cigars are 'the same'.... they aren't? Cigars have a flavour and are meant to be enjoyed where as Cigarettes are more of a bad habit that people do just to DO. Plus, five cigars in a week is wayyy less then you probably would have smoked in cigarettes.![]()
You're right. Cigarettes give you lung cancer. Cigars give you mouth cancer, which is by far much more attractive.Good Job SuBe!

Wikipedia said:Health effects
Like other forms of tobacco use, cigar smoking poses a significant health risk depending on dosage: risks are greater for those who inhale more when they smoke, smoke more cigars, or smoke them longer.[20] The risk of dying from any cause is significantly greater for cigar smokers, with the risk particularly higher for smokers less than 65 years old, and with risk for moderate and deep inhalers reaching levels similar to cigarette smokers. The increased risk for those smoking 1–2 cigars per day is too small to be statistically significant,[21] and the health risks of the 3/4 of cigar smokers who smoke less than daily are not known[22] and are hard to measure; although it has been claimed that people who smoke few cigars have no increased risk, a more accurate statement is that their risks are proportionate to their exposure.[23] Health risks are similar to cigarette smoking in nicotine addiction, periodontal health, tooth loss, and many types of cancer, including cancers of the mouth, throat, and esophagus. Cigar smoking also can cause cancers of the lung and larynx, where the increased risk is less than that of cigarettes. Many of these cancers have extremely low cure rates. Cigar smoking also increases the risk of lung and heart diseases such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.[20]
Remember George Burns? He smoked between 7 and 15 cigars a day for 80+ years, lived a few days shy of 101 years old and died of Natural Causes.

An alcoholic doesn't quit being an alcoholic, they just stop drinking alcohol.

Thank you Star.
I smoked 1 pack every 2 days, except 6 cigarettes over the weekend. That would be 56 a week or 2912 cigarettes a year or $430.25 a year.
The Cigars are apart of my job, and it's a great honor to be one of the people that smokes new blends or Production Samples that go out into the Market that influences our Premium Cigar Industry, a $2 Billion + a year industry. I see my work in publications like Robb Report and many others. I only smoked 5 this past week only because we got these samples in, usually it's only 1 or 2 a week.
Thanks everyone for your positivity.
And Boo on all of you that didn't!![]()
