Welp, so much for that I guess
Imo it's definitely better than being a slave to the actual porn industry (where corruption knows no bounds) but it also has breeded an epidemic of men who can only be described as, well, "simps" (and I already know some people won't appreciate my use of that term but it is what it is ) and enabled a bunch of entitled, narcissistic, heartless women who merely view/treat these men as nothing more than dollar signs.
And before anyone calls me a horrible sexist or whatever, I'm not here saying that a girl with an OF account selling explicit content is inherently, automatically a bad person, or that there's anything wrong with having an alternative kind of hustle and embracing sexual liberation/empowerment, but I don't really think it's been "empowering" anybody, merely contributing to the destruction of culture and sex relations/division of men/women/etc and it's just disheartening to me. But this is what I feel porn does to people in general, as complicated as the idea of "banning" it is for me to honestly have a concrete opinion on
