Days of Future Past opening scene

X1 and X2 had good v/o and opening scenes, it kind of gave us a clue of what to expect from the movie, so w/Singer back on board we could possibly have an opening monolog, by Patrick aka Charles

I would love to see the film opening with a split scene that shows both Charles and Eric being born and show how different their lives were; Charles being wealthy, attending the best schools and Eric working in the Nazi's camp/being poor...and then we come to see them as adults, how they both discovered they are mutants and from their the rest of relationship is played out...

what do you all want 2 see???

Well that's pretty ambitious. I can't think of too many cases where split screen has worked (over an extended period of time) in movies. 500 Days of Summer is probably the only one. I like the idea of showing their contrasting lives though. But seeing as we've seen where Magneto came from, I wouldn't mind seeing Xavier's childhood.

I really REALLY hope the opening voice over makes a return. And, Patrick must be the one to read it.

The opening scene with De aged Patrick Stewart, teen Cyclop ( Aaron Johnson ), Jean Grey and Beast fighting Mystique and Magneto ) De-aged Ian.

When come Eric and Charles came face to face, the movie then cut back to the very early in their lives.

Well...there's a lot of new creative control in this film and I think the likelihood of this film sticking to the opening style formats that we've seen before seems a little low.

I wouldn't mind seeing it, but I wouldn't be surprised if they go a different route with it.

Bryan Singer is back as a producer ( and now can even claim back directing position with Jack the Giant Killer being pushed back ), we may get to see that after all.

He's not gonna push Matthew Vaughn out of the way to direct X-Men: First Class. Things don't work like that.

I will say, I was terribly disappointed in X3 in how they decided to change up the opening format.

I believe it was confirmed Vaughn reshot the opening of X1 with a different actor as Erik. Perhaps that's it?

Well, yeah, they had to.

X1 was over 10 years ago...from what I've seen, they've done a great job re-creating that scene...the kid they found looks like he could Ian McKellen's grandson or something...

Well, I doubt it'll open straight to that scene, but it's obvious they'll be showing an extended version of it somewhat early or maybe in flashbacks...
