For some reason, I was able to spell his name correctly after the first time I read it. Anyway, here's the thread for the big guy and the actor playing him.

Did you make those pics, or are you just reposting them? Any chance you'll complete the set for the rest of the cast?

Yeah, I made them a while back in the old thread. I did most of the cast. :woot:

What accent do you think his going to do? An African American Chicargo accent, an African Nigerian accent or his natural British London accent.

I would prefer if he did the Chicargo American one.

How big is this guy?
Did they actually cast someone of decent size?

And I guess if I couldn't have roadblock, Heavy Duty is a good second choice...

Agbaje is a fairly big guy. 6'2 or so, around 230.

It's definitely going to be interesting to see what accent he does. He has a pretty good command of them, but his American isn't his best one.

If this Joe team is really going to be international, HD should have a Nigerian accent. I'm not saying I like the international Joes, but if they're going that route, Africa should be represented in some way.

His American accent sucks. Just check him out in Wesley Snipes movie 'Unstoppable'.

The bald black guy from 'Underworld', or the guy from 'POTA' and 'King Kong' would have made a better HD.

lol. "The bald black guy". You found their pics so you must know their names too, right? :p

I do like Kevin Grevioux, though.

Well, i went back and found their pics, so yeah. I just didn't know the right spelling for their names at that point!

Adewale is awesome! He was Adebisi on OZ, fierce and evil and surprisingly funny from time to time. He's definitely a big, imposing guy and kind of a Method actor -- one of his castmates on OZ said that Adewale ran around molesting everyone for the first few weeks to get into character.

... or at least that's the reason he gave at the time.

That should be Roadblock. They better have more than the damn black suits. They should have put some color in them to make them somewhat unique. Still I love the mini gun.

Yeah he should, to bad Hasbro can't use that name anymore.

I know everyone keeps saying how "it should be Roadblock over Heavy Duty", and I totally agree, however, wasn't the reason for it NOT being Roadblock was do some patent or copyright issues? Much like the whole having to call Jazz "autobot Jazz" in the Transformers movie?

what happened with the Roadblock name? But Eko sure looks good in costume. I guess it's just Tatum that looks fruity in that outfit.

What pisses me off is that fans keep complaining about HD over RB, and when you try to explain to them about the possible copyright issues, they completely blow you off.

But the fact is is that Hasbro does have to slightly alter the names of characters on action figure boxes, such as "Autobot Jazz", "Sgt. Stalker," They flat out lost the rights for Hawk for awhile and the packaging said "Gen. Tomahawk."

Shockwave was renamed Shockblast for a time as well. So there is something to it, and the rumors I've heard are that the Roadblock problems are mainly in TV and film.

Seen one Joe suite, you've seen them all. Good enough.

WEAK!!!!!!!!!!!! So far two black costumes?!?! this better not be a trend.

Also that mini gun is smaller then my electric chainsaw

I mean, it's a movie adaptation so it's going to reflect real life and in real life uniforms are supposed to be the same, deeerrrr.

I think the costumes are cool. I remember reading that nobody is going to see Transformers because they are not like the originals.

I for one am not going to let something so stupid like, "Oh my gosh! They look nothing like the original!!" get in the way from enjoying a good movie. All I care about are the characters, story line and yes, the action

According to the producer, Di Bonaventura, every suit is pretty much black and stylized like that.
