please say it aint so. why can't we get a reboot (new continuity).

orgins was financially successful but it was a poor film.

i hear that First Class, Deadpool, & Wolverine 2 are coming. its just not fair!!!

Your forgetting that X-Men 1 wasnt all that great, x-men origins is of the same quality... i figure going forward it will be good.

well if you are referring to visual FX. then yes. its of the same quality to X1.

but X1. had a great story. it had a great plot progression. great acting and it was made for 70 mil. so bryan singer was able to take what little resources he had to work with and made a great film. yes a great film with alot of heart. acting wise x1 is just a great film. so therefore it succeeded as a comic book film. Orgins is just a bad film period.

Orgins had a 150 budget and they still screwed it all up.

x1-x3 got the wolverine character down pat. orgins basically contradicts x2 in everyway and just as a movie it sucks. had they just went with the script they had and got a different director and ofcouse had tom rothman not intervened so much. like with the rumors about repainting the weapon x lab scene from dark and gritty to squeaky clean and so on.

i enjoy the trailers more than the movie itself.

but hey i just wanted to check. just because the movies are greenlit doesn't mean they'll happen. but now the proof is in the pudding.

x1 was a great film its just they messed up in the visual fx dept. when x1 did real well i had read thay bryan singer wanted to go back and shoot new footage for the film and they were gonna go back and redo the visual fx and score for the dvd release but it never happened for some reason.

then x2 is a classic. while alot of people dislike x3 i love it. i think that x3 brings the saga of professor x, magneto, wolverine, storm, cyclops and jean grey to an epic finale. heros and villians both die and there is a feeling of completion. wolverine and storm and beast have to lead the remainng x men to victory and they triumph.

so with orgins the quality of the story telling went down to pitiful levels. its really sad. don't even get me started on the visual fx, poor editing, and continuity errors with x2 and plot holes and the adamantuim bullets thing & finally barakapool. i mean what was the purpose of them sewing his mouth shut? i mean the Ryan Reynolds telling jokes to the point where he annoys struker enough to provoke him into sewing his mouth shut doesn't make sense since he is hardly in the film. it was just a bad film.

so i just wanted to be sure about the spinoffs. i mean baraka pool. i m ean RR was hardly in the movie. he didnt do anythng in the movie. so oh well.
i now see why x fans and wolverine dislike tom rothman and the x films in general. when i see a REAL reboot oneday i'll comeback. but hey its all about the money and the merchandise.

I do want a reboot but not with FOX behind it plus i feel that they should of done more X-Men films besides 3 and have other villians besides Magneto and Stryker.

Meh who knows Wolverine 2 Might be better, maybe those producers learned there lesson.

FOX has not learned their lesson. I do not mind orgin movies their cool and their is ton of characters that can and deserve an orgin story. If done right.

Why oh why do people simply forget and blinded by own stardom... X-Men The Movie was crap lets face it. People were too highed for seeing wolverine on screen and some other popular mutants that they didnt care for the movie.

The story telling for the first film suffered from the re-writes and nothing made sense. For example, Magneto hated humans why would he bother turning them to humans... He has never shown any compasion for humans in the comics, infact he sees them as only insects. Secondly Jean Grey has never been a doctor and Beast who was written out of the movie should of appeared because continuity counts, this left people confused... Look at it this way, Jean Grey a doctor uses several different hospital equipment... anyone whose been to hospital knows that each machine has there own specialist dedicated to it, mostly because there so complex to run the focus on just those machines would need alot. Then we have the brotherhood, who were just wrong...! Magneto's first brotherhood of mutants was toad, mastermind and quicksilver plus scarlet witch... Now i know that this was an ultimate story but Sabretooth doesnt really work for Magneto... would you think he would work for stryker? Sabretooth does what he wants to do. He wouldnt be a lacky for no reason. Then we look at the overal story, we now have a young rogue who fances bobby, when bobby was originally going to be Gambit in the first movie... Although the movie was interesting, it simply was bad but alot of people will defend it because they simply were blind sighted by the fact that some of the favorite mutants appeared on big screen.

Any pro-x1 remarks are always considered over biest because of that fact...

Look at x1 to x2 -- X2 was excellent because alot more money and work went into it...

See i dont blame bryan singer or the writers for x1, it was the studio for a not having faith in the franchise and not actually knowing anything about the franchise to begin with.

X-Men one was garbage the fact they killed off villiansl ike Toad and Sabertooth too. I think they should not even had Magneto be the main focus in the first film he should of just had cameo appearances.

They should of done like in X-Men Evolution were Mystique is the main villian leading the Brotherhood with Toad, Blob, Avalanche, and that fast dude.

Second movie they could of had Magneto and his peoples.

Save Stryker for the 3rd. Or well thats how i would ofl iked the first film.
