Has anyone else noticed the parallels between these two?
Like Bruce, bin Laden was born to a very wealthy family. But like Bruce, he forsook material luxury as an adult and dedicated his life to a "mission". He could have sat back and become a decadent playboy, but he chose instead to head to the mountains of Afghanistan and fight the soviets (and now us), whereas Wayne chose to take back Gotham from criminals and the corrupt.
Both have become icons/symbols as well. Nolan once said he thought Batman and Teddy Roosevelt had a lot in common, but i see more similarities here.
Agree?
BTW: I'm not trying to glorify the guy who's killed so many innocents - i'm just pointing out similarities.
