Well there is The Phantom, 1996 film starring Billy Zane, the Ghost Who Walks definitely deserves a rebooted franchise or hell how about The Shadow? Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men? The Shadow knows, 1994 film starring Alec Baldwin, now that is another movie that definitely deserves a reboot

Green Lantern ! Such a great character with so much potential.....he deserves a reboot.

IMO a Green Lantern team movie (an ensemble cast with John Stewart, Hal Jordan, Guy Gardner, Kyle Rayner, Sinestro and a bunch of the alien GL's
man that would be awesome.

Ah well, here's hoping.

their acutely making a phantom movie it called legacy not sure when it comes out their going to reboot green lantern in 2020

Daredevil is another comic book movie hero that deserves a reboot like an actual big screen reboot not that Netflix crap they put out

The Spirit deserves a good movie. Either that, or give him a good HBO quality TV series.

I'd like to see Zorro brought back, this time with Don Diego back in the mantle.

Zorro I thought Banderas did a great job as Zorro in that film series with The Mask of Zorro and the sequel being the Legend of Zorro but at the same time if Zorro should be rebooted I wonder just who could play him though?

Blade series is another series that could use a reboot but who could replace Snipes as Blade though? Definitely Michael Jai White could

The Phantom and the Shadow. Yes, I'd like to see redo's of both of those. I like both characters a lot.

I also wouldn't mind seeing Elektra redone, with a good script this time.

And I'd really love to see a Green Hornet reboot. This time with an actor who wasn't so..........fat.

Zorro, The Shadow, The Crow, The Punisher, Tank Girl, Dick Tracy and The Rocketeer.

I love the original Flash Gordon...and I want a SEQUEL. I am smart enough to accept that new actors will have to be cast...but darnit...I want that world to continue. I LOVE the look of the film, and I'd want a new Flash movie to update that basic look.

There are actually two supposed Zorro films in production/limbo:
Thread - http://forums.superherohype.com/showthread.php?t=368369&page=5

One is a Sony produced Zorro, reboot/year-one telling of the classic Diego de la Vega origin, set in 1800 Los Angeles. His origin has actually never been done on film. And is based on the original McCully story and the Isabel Allende Zorro novel.
Tells the origin of how his parents first met (old world meets new), his trip to Spain, and sea faring adventure back to Cali. all the way to when he becomes Zorro.

The other is Fox's supposed future Zorro, (not a live action Zorro Generation Z) but tentatively called "Zorro Reborn" about a descendant who picks up the mantle in a post-apocalyptic future (vibrating energy sword). Gael García Bernal was at one point confirmed to star.
There was some test footage/trailer released.

I love the original Flash Gordon...

Are you talking about the original 1936 staring Buster Crabbe, which influenced Lucas et al.
Or the 1980 Dino De Laurentiis version?

Phantom & Flash Gordon definitely needs reboots.
Ideally King Feature will licence them all Flash Gordon, Phantom and Mandrake & Lothar reboots to the same company , so they can do their own world building, that inevitably leads to Defenders of the Earth / King's Watch.

Flash Gordon could be so epic with today's technology.

Also, not exactly a superhero, but I'd love to see a big screen Knight Rider film, with Ben Whishaw as the voice of KITT.

The Shadow would work. Especially if you were to take him present day ala The Shadow Now and Gibson's Return of The Shadow (or cherrypick elements from the two)

The Phantom was my immediate thought when I saw this thread. I just started reading Hermes Press' first volume of newspaper strips, and good lord are these a lot of fun.

Yes but which actors could really play Lamont Cranston/The Shadow just like how Alec Baldwin did in 1994 playing it with that same ferocity or that same mystery and darkness needed

For better or worse, I'm sure a reboot will play it darker.

I would love a new take on The Ghost Who Walks. Lee Falk's The Phantom is my favorite comic book character, as it's the only "superhero" type comic I read as a child/teenager. Marvel and DC stuff weren't available for me where I grew up (small town in Norway), and besides The Phantom the only comics I could find where Disney stuff for kids (Donald Duck, Mickey Mouse, etc.) or Norwegian comics for teens/young adults.

The Phantom comics has a long history (created in 1936, even before Superman) with loads of great stories, and the character itself has an even longer history dating back to the 16th century and the origin of the first Phantom. Creator Lee Falk wrote The Phantom strips for 63 years until his death in 1999.

I think by this time next year we'll be saying Superman again.

I didn't like MoS, but I think it was a solid enough start for what could be a good franchise.
I'd say the GL, but every time I picture the character I picture Ryan Reynolds in that awful video game suit... that film truly made me think the character won't work but I know it isn' true. That'll make the inevitable reboot that much more exciting for me lol, I really want to see how they'd make that character work.
