One of the things you need when doing these team movies is something that ties them together... it could be the same accident (Fantastic Four), birth (X-Men) or an agency (Avengers brought together by shield). By making the WE be a part of what makes the Atlanteans and Amazonians active in the world it now gives them a purpose in the script. They aren't just showing up to show up.

You're right. In that fake script, Wonder Woman simply showed up to rescue her sister from Lex.
I've been pondering with the idea that she's a member of the Government and overhears the plot to assassinate Superman with the help of Lexcorp. But it's her reason of aiding Superman that I'm struggling with. I did like her reason for showing up in the fake script, just not the execution. So I may just have her getting close to the Government's ties with Lexcorp, so she can infiltrate it and rescue a fellow Amazon.

The Atlantean. I think their reason for increased vigilance and violence is based on what the World Engine did to them and they're home.

My take on WW will be that while she is a warrior that's part of who she is...just like Bruce is a ninja but it's part of who he is. Add to that we have a amazonian in the modern world so I would play up the fish out of water aspect of her.

HAHA! I will include a scene where Clark and Lois investigate Lex. They meet Mercy before getting to his office and she gives an attitude. Lois says "She's just a ray of sunshine..." and Clark notices Mercy Graves in the tight short skirt and nylons outfit and says "She's a good dresser at least" and pushes up his glasses on his nose.

Years ago, when Batman vs Superman was initially the plan (I think 2003-2004), me and a friend were in a comic shop and were discussing what the JL movie should be like with the shop owner. We were obviously using Grant Morrison's first story arc as the JL movie story.

Finally, after a lot of discussion, we formulated an end credits scene as well. At the end of the credits, after the JL has successfully defeated the white martians, we cut to a place where we see a guy sitting on a throne. Desaad stumbles into the room, and he says "My liege, our plans for invading Earth have run into problems. The Earth has its heroes now". We then see the guy stand up from the throne, walk to Desaad and say "The dark side will reign supreme", and cut to Darkseid's laughing face.

After watching "The Avengers". I texted my friend immediately saying "Our end credits idea has been stolen".

It is amazing just how much Avengers actually follows the JLA arc if you think about it.
