Our "Space Princess": David Corenswet IS Clark Kent/Superman!

This is the classic "we have sh!7 photos from on set so I'll judge the costume from that" phase. It happens with every SH movie... I am surprised to still see people worry when looking at set pics.

Not only that but it already looks miles better than some MCU suits before adjustment in post.

For instance, I love Holland’s Spider-Man suit, but it can seriously look like PJs in set photos.

It’s funny now cause the suit looks pretty good here. Better than in the official release. The colors and fit are great.

Well really I guess the idea goes both ways, positive or negative...you really just have to wait to see footage to see what they do with it.

So it is going to be like a motorcycle jacket. Ugh if the suit actually form fit him it would be much better, I still hate that collar. It's the "big budget" version of the cw suit like I've been saying. Hopefully it changes to the more classic suit. I'm guessing it forms on him like the my adventures with superman which would be cool and different, so no shirt rip. 3/10 much better than the reveal tho which was - 5/10

I actually like the loose fit, but they might tighten it up in post. See this:

While I still wish the collar simply wasn’t there, I think the fact that it’s open in the front makes it look better and helps to avoid that turtleneck Homelander look. And David just looks awesome, like he stepped out of a comic book.

I think the suit has grown on me. I like the colors and they pop out.

It looks very well put together. Just hope it doesn't look that clunky and loose on film. It looks too loose in ome of the photos. In other photos, he looks great. Anyone notice that the collar looks slightly different than the first promotional photo?

Yeah, it does. I think maybe the shoulders are different too? DKDetective (who knows a lot about tailoring and costuming) said it’s definitely a different suit.

The collar in the reveal photo and one on the suit today are definitely different. The reveal photo had a much higher collar without the opening in the front (you can tell by using the cape and collar piping as a guide to position). Other than that, I haven't noticed any other differences between the two suits.

It could be that they used an earlier test suit in the reveal photo, but I don't know.why they would do that for a photo released halfway through production.

I wonder if they changed their minds after the first Pic was shot. For all we know it could've been taken weeks before we actually got it.

But if that is the case, all of this begs the question why not reshoot it? They didn't release the photo until halfway through principal photography.

Before Casino Royale came out, EON released a much criticized reveal photo of Daniel Craig as Bond (from his screen test) well before production began:

When they decided to revamp his look for production they reshot it with his final hair and wardrobe:

Yeah so when we get an official poster it will probably be what the suit looks like now rather than the first image we got.

No, that is not what I said. The original promo phot of Craig was from his screen test and was released upon announcement of his casting LONG before production began, before he even started working out for the role.

The latter photo of Craig was released during production, just like Gunn's reveal photo of Corenswet as Supes. The photo we got of Corenswet is more comparable to the second photo of Craig in timing and circumstance.

Well I don't know. I just know the suit has a slight alteration to it and that's it. It doesn't tell me anything about the film.

I wonder if these super suits can be tailored and altered as effectively as we see it here. I wonder if they altered the suit he's wearing in the photo(clean version of it), or, is he in a brand new suit? And why change it? One thing I notice about the V neck is it sits much more flush on his neck compared to the photo. Could be they didn't like the looseness of the original cut?

I'm inclined to think it's a totally new suit whether it's plot related or not. If we look at it like a clue to the plot, maybe the one in the photo gets ruined and this is the new one or vice versa.

Generally speaking, they cannot tailor or alter these suits, especially for something like recutting the neckline. They cast these suits in a giant mould and that is what gives their texture and detailing. To change the neckline, you would need to recast the torso piece. There is a really good special feature on the Batman Begins DVD showing the process.

And this kind of procedure was used to make this suit? Technology hasn't advanced since BB? I'd take not knowing rather than thinking I know.

My biggest gripe is the boots. The boots should have been leaner and had this \/ at the top instead of \_/.

Secondary gripe is the collar. That should have been lowered some, especially at the back. It needs to be even with the cape line.
It ruins ( for me ) what would otherwise be an almost perfect super suit.
I'd still rate it a 8.5 outta 10.

Chris reeve's suit was a 9.
MoS suit a 7
SR suit a 5.

That said, once I see it in action, it may take the title of best suit.
