I listened to his podcast interview. It was mostly about fashion. He mentioned his peak bulk weight was 238 and he filmed Superman at mostly 228-230. His weight at the time of this interview was 215.

Yeah, they talk about it somewhere around the 12:40 mark in the full video. David basically said it was a "for-fun mustache" he kept from his bearded look during We Own This City.

Yeah I think you’re right. Just listened to the interview. LOL it almost feels like they trolled us because they didn’t talk about Superman at all. Like, I know he can’t talk about plot details or anything but I was hoping he would talk a bit about the audition process or his approach to playing the character. Oh, well. At least now I know that he’s a Star Wars and Edgar Wright fan so hopefully he’ll show up as a Jedi or in The Running Man with his Twisters costar Glenn Powell.
