Red Entertainment-developed visual novel Our World is Ended, which first launched for PS Vita in Japan in November 2017, is coming to PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC via Steam in North America and Europe in 2019, publisher PQube announced. It will feature both English and Japanese text support.

Story

Our World is Ended follows Judgement 7, a team of young developers working on a brand new game engine called the W.O.R.L.D program. When wearing an Augmented Reality headset, this revolutionary program changes the landscape in real time. When Reiji, the game part-time director, tries the program in the streets of Asakusa, he catches a glimpse of an unsettling cityscape. Could this be a glitch or is there more to it than meets the eye?

His doubts are soon to be confirmed as the members of Judgement 7 will find themselves trapped between fiction and the real world. Characters and creatures from their previous games have breached into the world and now risk of becoming reality. The city is on the verge of being overwritten. Judgement 7’s battle to bring the world back is about to begin!

Our World is Ended will launch for PlayStation 4 and Switch on March 26 in North America and March 22 in Europe, and PC via Steam later this year, publisher PQube announced.

Pre-orders and day one purchases of hte visual novel will be a special edition that includes the following:

• An exclusive art book with 100 pages featuring beautiful illustrations of the characters, environments, CGs and much more
• A quirky key ring of the perverted programmer Owari Sekai’s mascot
• The physical edition of the game

Our World is Ended for PS4, Switch, and PC opening movie

5pb. has released the opening movie for the PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC version of Our World is Ended, known in Japan as Judgement 7: Our World is Ended. It features the opening theme “Change The World” sung by Kurokumo and composed by 164.

The Red Entertainment-developed visual novel first launched for PS Vita in November 2017 in Japan. This new version includes 30 percent more volume throughout the entire story compared to the original release via about two million Japanese characters of text, a post-game scenario featuring new character(s) equivalent in volume to about five chapters of the main story, new event CGs for both the additional scenario and main story, and quality of life features such as backlog jump and a branch tree that displays a visualization of your choices.

Our World is Ended is due out for PlayStation 4 and Switch on February 28 in Japan, and for PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC on March 22 in Europe and March 26 in North America.

Physical edition due out on May 7 in North America.

Publisher PQube has delayed the PlayStation 4 and Switch versions of visual novel Our World is Ended from its previously announced March release to April 18 in North America and Europe.

In Europe, the April 18 release date includes both the physical and digital editions. In North America, the release date is only for the digital editions. The physical editions will launch on May 7.

Digital pre-orders will begin on March 4 on the European PlayStation Store and March 19 on the Nintendo eShop. A pre-order start date for the North American PlayStation Store was not announced.

As previously announced, pre-orders for the physical edition will include a 100-page art book and key chain of the protagonist Owari Sekai’s mascot character.

In Japan, Our World is Ended launched for PlayStation 4 and Switch today. The PlayStation 4 and Switch versions are called Judgement 7: Our World is Ended in Japan, as they are enhanced versions of the November 2017-released PS Vita version. Given that the PS Vita version was never released in the west, the PlayStation 4 and Switch versions are simply titled Our World is Ended in the west.

Our World is Ended is also planned for release on PC via Steam in 2019, but a specific release date has yet to be announced.

Meet the Judgement 7 team.

Publisher PQube and developer Red Entertainment have released a new trailer for the western release of Our World is Ended introducing the Judgement 7 team members that make up the main cast.

The Judgement 7 team is a group of “outlandish developers” working from their Asakusa office. One summer day, their augmented reality headset let them catch a glimpse of Tokyo in ruins. Here is an overview of each character, via PQube:

• Sekai Owari – The perverted programmer. Owari is the founder and main programmer of Judgement 7. Although he is supposed to be the representative of the team, the members do not respect him because of his perverted personality. He is in fact exceptionally skilled and able to create ultra perverted programs that can not be written by ordinary people.
• Iruka No.2 – The delusional planner. Iruka No.2 is an old friend of Owari and the co-founder Judgement 7. He is in charge of the planning, scenario and setting of the team’s games. As a big nerd with particular preferences, the others can’t relate to him most of the time. The habit of sometimes raising his voice for no reason earned him the nickname “Vocal Madman.”
• Asano Hayase – The unfortunate sound designer. Asano is Yuno’s older sister. She composes the music and sound effects of the games. Although she is a sound designer, she is quite deaf but she doesn’t know it yet. She is blessed with the ability to destroy PCs and the hardware in her reach – including her own synthesizer, but she doesn’t really care.
• Natsumi Yuki – The chaotic designer. Natsumi is the style designer who lives in the office of Judgement 7 and in charge of character designs, environments, UI, and logos of the games. She is strict with herself and everyone else and always takes work seriously, but drawing makes her happy.
• Tatiana Alexandrovna Sharapova – The childish programmer. Tatiana was born in Russia but she has lived in Japan since her childhood. She usually works as a programmer at research institutes while attending junior high school in Hokkaido. She is a super genius also known as “Russian’s Hidden Treasure” but apart from her programming skills, she is inferior to most of the children of her age. Her basic social and living skills are more around the lower elementary school or kindergarten level.
• Yuno Hayase – The airheaded assistant. Yuno is Asano’s little sister and currently a high school student. She works part-time at Judgement 7 as an assistant and does all kinds of work. Laid-back and often in a good mood, she also happens to be a good judge of character.
• Reiji Gozen – The plain part-time director. Reiji is a university student who dreams of becoming a game designer. He works part-time while attending university. As a relatively normal and social guy, he stands out among the other members of Judgement 7.

Our World is Ended is due out for PlayStation 4 and Switch on April 18 in North America and Europe. The physical edition is due out in Europe on the same day, while it is not due out in North America until May 7. A PC version is due out via Steam in 2019.
