Does anyone have any experience in over clocking their CPU? I'm on an Intel Core 2 Dup E6300, running at 1.8GHz, but I'm looking to over clock to about 2.4.

I need to find the make and model of motherboard, which is proving to be pain, but I was just wondering if anyone had any experience in this. Cheers.

go to computer forums, i went to some when i was building my computer and i did pretty darn well. you can check out the abit motherboard forums.

and clocking your cpu to 2.4 is a bit over board. 2.0~.1 is a good bet.

Here a good place to start http://www.overclock.net

If you plan on getting 2.4GHz then you might want to invest in a good water cooling system, which could get you up to 3.0+ GHz.

Yeah anything really higher than what its default capability is, then you WILL over heat and fry the board :)

Do you not have a manual with the MB specs on it?
