i'm a to late to make a David Bowie joke??

Oh thank God! For a second I thought it was another remake.:)

the whole movie isn't in another language is it?

i'm not big on foreign films... but damnit if that isn't some of the best (and more original) creature makeup fx i've ever seen.

Says the man whose avatar features a chick with ginormous boobs being squeezed together! But yeah, the sight of Alicia Keyes kissing off someone with her middle finger is quite. . . .stimulating.:O

It's all in (some of it archaic) Spanish, I believe.

Yeah. I wasn't too interetsed in the "House..." series (I think they're called "Prelude to Dune" or something). It was interesting in the sense of seeing all the characters and planets in a lead-in, but it wasn't particularly outstanding. But The Butlerian Jihad and The Machine Crusade renewed my confidence in Anderson and Herbert.

As far as Pan's Labyrinth goes, it seems like alot of promotion is going on here for a foreign-language film. Is it getting a wide release in the US like Hero, or what? I was planning on just getting it on DVD if it has a limited release, but it would be great if it were in theaters.

I can't wait for Pan's. It looks like it will be excellent.

It premiers in the States on December 29th, but that's probably a limited release.

PS. I forgot to mention the fact that Doug Jones is starring in this. Another thumbs up.

I've been waiting for this movie ever since I first saw the trailer a while ago. It looks amazing. I wish Hellboy had Pan's sense of of rich palpable atmosphere to it.

As for the release : This is from the comic con panel

In terms of the December release for PAN'S LABYRINTH, del Toro joked that even though his previous Spanish-language movie, THE DEVIL'S BACKBONE, was "unleashed" in a whole 16 theaters when it was released back in the day, this film will be released in many more theaters, which most people should be able to access, if even with a short trek by car. He then joked that you shouldn't download it though.

Looks pretty good I must say.

Personally I think Del Toro is an underappreciated director who does very good work.
