Park Chan-Wook to Helm Body Theft Sci-Fi Thriller Second Born

Park Chan-Wook, the helmer behind films like Oldboy, Stoker and Sympathy for Mr. Vegeance, has signed on to direct a sci-fi thriller titled Second Born, Variety reports.

Second Born, scripted by David Jagernauth and set up at Rumble Films, takes place in a future where mankind stores human consciousness in microchips, allowing one the ability to exchange their body while retaining their thoughts. Unfortunately, this has led to a black market of body thefts.

Rumble's David Lancaster is set to produce alongside Stephanie Wilcox and Wonjo Jeong. Derby Street will finance with their CEO, Nicola Horlick, executive producing alongside James Gibb and Jon Shiffman.

The concept has some great potential.
