Parks and Recreation - Part 1

I really hope that, if this lasts past this season, we see Tina Fey make a guest appearance.

Love that idea, hope it happens. It could even happen this spring!

Watched the episode last night, I saw on Twitter there was a surprise but didn't see that ending coming and it was perfect.

Oh and next week[BLACKOUT]Jean-Ralphio[/BLACKOUT] returns!

whaoh, didn't see that [blackout]proposal[/blackout] coming. Great ending to an okay episode.

It doesn't matter how it's done, proposals always come off as super corny to me. Good episode though.

That was certainly a surprise, makes me feel all happy for Leslie.

Does he sound familiar to anyone else, or is it just me? :awesome:

Are the ratings for this show tanking or I have I misinterpreted a post above?

Haha, that's a trip. Having Biden and Obama in the White House has blended politics and entertainment moreso than the Reagan era.

My wife and I happened to drive by the vacant lot last night where in the past they have shot on location for 'the pit' and the Harvest Festival and the Christmas Village and other episodes.

There was a giant white tent on the lot with lots of lights on it and people setting thing up, and the first thing my wife thought was, "Oh, they're getting ready to shoot the wedding reception!"

Either that, or the civil union between DJ Roomba and Little Sebastian II.

Jonathan Banks saying "We're a Twizzler family" was fairly terrifying... and only partially because Twizzler's are awful. :o

We just walked the three blocks down to the vacant lot where Parks and Rec does so much filming . . and Ben and Leslie's wedding reception was in high gear, with dozens of extras dancing inside a big tent and search lights crisscrossing outside!

Boy - do they ever have a lot of people working on that show - all kinds of techies and assistants walking around aimlessly, and a goodly number loitering around the massive food tables!

We saw second-tier characters Donna and Jerry stroll out from the tent (not really dressed like they were at the reception) and immediately get picked up in a van and whisked off. Couldn't figure out why they were there if they weren't part of the shoot.

There were about 6 or 7 big guys in firemen's gear standing at the tent opening -- my wife thinks they will be part of the episode somehow, but they didn't look photogenic enough to me!

I don't know what their production lead time is . . . but Leslie and Ben just got engaged last week and they're already shooting the wedding reception?? That kinda seems like rushing things -- they must really want to get them into married life for story ideas (although they sure haven't mined Andy and April's marriage for many concepts)

The engagement was likely shot weeks before it aired.

That's cool stuff. Where do they film this show anyways?

It's a UNIVERSAL production, so I assume that standing sets like the city hall offices are all on the backlot there.

But they do a lot of location shooting in our Van Nuys neighborhood. The house where Ann and Andy were originally living when the show started really is directly behind the vacant lot where 'The Pit' was. (and that really WAS a giant pit - excavated for an intended apartment building that never got built!)

Every time they are in a restaurant, they film at our little neighborhood diner, '4 n 20', and that weird market (is it called 'Food and Stuff' ?) is right around the corner from the vacant lot where this wedding reception is being shot.

Lol I'm from Ky. It's worst here. The town I live in is basically Pawnee.
