The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Paul Giamatti IS Rhino - Part 1

That just looks like a giant tank. If that's his modes of transportation, I sincere hope he still has a combat suit at the very least.

I can get behind this if the tank is designed by Smythe, and Rhino is wearing a suit within the tank. This way we still get classic(ish) Rhino, and the introduction of the Spider-Slayer. I think that that's brilliant.

If, however, this is just a tank that a regularly clothed guy sits in and operates and that's all it is to it, I will be disappointed.

Just my two cents.

if it was just a 4 leg tank it takes away alot of possible uses, for example he can't rob a bank because he can't pick things up, so it wouldn't be well thought out if he is just running around on 4 legs

What if he ran in dressed like a regular guy, Spidey chases after him, "oh no, where did he go?" and then a tank comes crashing through a building.

As stupid and unlikely as that is, I am worried that's what we might get.

I will bet you one million dollars he walks upright & there's just a charge mode or something where he touches down with all four limbs. I feel satisfied those pics of Giamatti walking upright are just what they appear to be.

TASM 2: Rhino Strikes Back.

Should be even huger when standing. (That's what she said)
According to those set photos at least.

Raimi had a Power Ranger Green Goblin, and Webb has a Rhino Zord.

Sounds like something Paul would say. ^

Well then, you might have just rested my concerns.

I'd still rather go in with the expectations to be disappointed and then have them blown away. :P

after searching for more pics of the leaked one...i think his back legs are strong enough and could be designed to carry his entire weight.

Given some of the set photos that have been released, which show Giamatti standing up while wearing the Rhino mocap suit, I'm going to guess that the suit can change modes. That might be a mode for moving around, but it can also switch into a more traditional battle mode.

unless half his body is removed he couldn't really be in that position in this suit on 4 legs, plus the height in the set pictures is way to tall for 4 legs i think, esp for his head to be at the top

For the record, him upright in the set photos don't necessarily confirm an upright position to the tank/suit. He could be in standing position in a four legged tank - so he'd be standing in the torso/neck/head, which could open up to reveal him, or have a visor or something.

I don't want that to be true, I'm just saying, it IS possible and it's better to expect the worst and be wowed than the opposite. Anyone else remember SM3, FF and X-Men TLS?

well like i said earlier if he is just a 4 leg tank it takes away alot of uses for him if all he can do is charge into things and... well thats it

Leaked what? Damn, what did I miss now?

Yeah. see thats what i want to see. If he bends down to all fours to charge... that'd be okay and a somewhat unique/interesting take. But I would hope that he is at least capable of standing upright.

If not, I wonder what is even his purpose in the film? just to destroy something? How's he going to rob a bank/fight a 6ft tall agile superhuman kid/etc?

Man I really hope there's footage of Rhino in the trailer. If he's walking upright and on all fours, then I hope we see both in the trailer.

I'm interested in how Spider-Man defeats a Zoid by himself.
