You know what I'm talking about. You go to the store and you see those people who don't feel like putting shopping carts in the cart corral or back in the store. They just leave it behind someone's car or in another parking spot creating further inconvenience. These people do it with straight faces and no shame. And what if it's a windy day and your cart dings somebody's car? Take the extra 10 seconds to go put the damn s*** back.

You g**damn lazy people.

:cmad: :down

THANK YOU. I always feel obligated to move those shopping carts to the corral, because that is so ****ing inconsiderate and rude to do that to another person who is looking for a space. Also I hate it when someone actually does return the cart, but leaves it sideways so it jams up the other carts. :exp:

I had to deal with that last night. I always put the cart either in a corral or in/near where the carts go at the store. The corrals are not usually spaced far apart but some people can't be bothered to walk the extra few feet to put them somewhere appropriate.

I work in a supermarket. Tell me about it.

I always return my carts to the inside of the store.

The ones I love (or not) are the ones who just abandon it five feet before they walk out the door, instead of pushing those five extra steps to leave it with the other carts in the corridor they're walking through anyway!

I work overnight security at a mall. Carts everywhere. :(

When I used to work at a grocery store, my first year was all about getting shopping carts and bagging. With my store they made sure there's at least 3-4 people outside getting carts during peak hours.

The worst are the ones who push it over into a handicapped spot.

And....I watched a guy one day who was parked one space away from the cart rack....and when he unloaded his cart, he tried to place it beside the car next to him...and it rolled it a little bit so he caught it and tried to place it still again....and it rolled again, so he caught it again. I watched him do this about 5 times....in that amount of time he could have walked it over the one parking space top the cart rack and put it up.....but nooooo, he had to place it that one special spot come hell or high water.

I once saw a shopping cart fly down towards a busy street into on coming traffic. it was going full speed mind you! It was either the wind or a lazy bastard who decided not to return the cart.

Only good thing about unreturned shopping carts is when they are in a park or something so you put on of your friends in it and push him down a hill.

worst times to leave the shopping carts is when you have high winds, seen too many carts go flying across the parking lot and usually it hits someone car

You do have the instances where the cart wheels lock when they reach a certain point in the lot, and people can't move them and just leave them there.

that's to keep people from stealing them, most stores around here don't use it

I live in the hood, so every store has them. :o

I have never seen a shopping cart with an electronic lock on it before. I knew they must exist somewhere but until now I didn't know for sure.

That's why I like how Aldi's makes you put a quarter in to use the cart. Return it and get your quarter back. Good system.

worked at a supermarket for years
I use to find those things all over the place (not just in the parking lot) they'd end up down the street, blocks away, all over town. I once saw a consumer pushing one out of the lot, started following him to try to catch up an take it before he got to far. ended up following him home down the street an around the corner from the store, where he had about 5-6 carts in his drive way...

I went out to dinner after work one night last week with my fiancee and a friend. After dinner we drove back to get my car and it was surrounded by carts. Must have been a half dozen or more all around it. I didnt even want to get out of my friends car to clean the mess up. Fortunately as we sat there one of the cart guys came by and took them all away. It was kind of fun watching him flip out as he found them all.

I'm going b to save my hatred for the rich barons who own these grocery stores.

Pay a guy 10 freakin bucks an hour to make sure no carts are in the parking lot. Sheesh.
