The latest issue of Weekly Famitsu has new information on Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth, which was recently detailed and dated for Japan.
Get the tidbits below.
Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth is due out for 3DS on November 29 in Japan.
- Hikari is voiced by Misato Fukuen.
- Nagi is voiced by Kikuko Inoue.
- There are a total of 28 Persona users.
- The party can have a maximum of five characters. You can remove the protagonist, unlike the first game, and freely customize your party.
- A second Persona can be set for party members, which can be summoned during battle.
- Since the story is focused on the characters of Persona 5, the battle background music is mainly from Persona 5 at first, but the variation of songs changes as you recruit members from Persona 3 and Persona 4.
- Makoto Kitajo, who composed Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth, is also composing Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth.
- Unlike the first game, there is no mechanic where you choose to start the story from the perspective of the Persona 3 or Persona 4 cast.
- By focusing on Persona 5, they were able to improve the deepening of character bonds and completeness of the story. Character encounters are more connected to the story than the first game.
- Both the female and male protagonists of Persona 3 exist at the same time in the gamethere is no choosing one over the other. The female protagonist will be heavily involved in the story.
- Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth is a completely standalone story, so you do not need to have played Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth or Persona 5, or have watched Persona 5 the Animation, in order to enjoy it.
- The game went into full-scale development after the completion of Persona 5. Development is currently 80 percent complete.
Thanks, Ryokutya2089 and Hachima Kikou.

Atlus has moved the name servers of its P5R.jp domain name first registered back in April 2017 from its registrar’s servers to its own servers. Now, instead of returning a landing page with a notification that the domain is registered through Japanese domain registrar Onamae as it did before, it returns an HTTP 403 Forbidden error.
Previous Atlus game reveals have followed a similar pattern. For example:
- Persona Q2: New Shadow Labyrinth‘s website domain PQ2.jp was registered on April 18, 2017, and its name servers were moved to Atlus servers on July 27, 2017, six days ahead of its official announcement.
- Persona 3: Dancing in Moonlight and Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight‘s website domain Persona-Dance.jp was registered on April 18, 2017, and its name servers were moved to Atlus servers on July 28, five days ahead of its official announcement.
The Persona 5 the Animation: Dark Sun… special will air on December 30. The official Persona Twitter account has already confirmed that new information about recently announced Persona Super Live 2019 concert will be shared during a commercial that airs during the program. And with the P5R.jp domain updated today, it is very possible Atlus will share more than just concert information.
- Catherine: Full Body‘s website domain FullBody.jp was registered on October 31, 2017, and its name servers were moved to Atlus servers on December 11, eight days ahead of its official announcement.
Thanks, Persona Central.
Available in standard and "Showtime" editions.
Atlus will release Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth for 3DS in the Americas and Europe on June 4, the publisher announced. It will feature Japanese voice-overs with English subtitles, with no plans for an English dub.
A $39.99 launch edition will include a set of four buttons, while a $69.99 “Showtime” premium edition will include a copy of the game, a five-inch Koromaru push, art book, deck of playing cards, set of four buttons, and outer box.

According to the latest rumor doing the rounds, Atlus may be considering bringing Persona 5S to the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Swtich. The news comes from Twitter user Mr. Ohya, who had previously revealed that Atlus was planning on revealing Persona 5R before they actually announced it.
If the rumor was to be believed, the source claims that this new Persona 5S title will be coming out in fall of 2019, and that more information on the project will likely be revealed before May.
Atlus, in their official announcement of Persona 5R, mentioned that more information on that mysterious project was going to be revealed in March, so we should expect further announcements in the coming months — for sure — and maybe even about this brand-new Persona 5S coming our way.

cuz I may just have to get a 2DS/3DS for this now that I've gotten into Persona through P5.
it would be nice if the Q series did.I have no answers on that sadly. we'll have to wait & see.
