Pet Thread

I don't think I've ever even interacted with you before. I would imagine the mods aren't aware of the original thread. I was pointing out that Reek was correct.

Thanks. Sadly, the dog is 14 and on his way out. :csad:

Cat's only about 4. Both rescues.

Pretty dog and cat youve got there. 14 is a pretty long life for a dog that size. Still its never long enough. I wish we could figure out a way to add a decade or more to their lives at least.

As for myself, Ive got an American Bombay cat, a Tabby/Simese mix cat, a Dandy Dinmont Terrier, and a Rat Terrior. All rescues. All spoiled rotten. They're my fur-babies. Id jump in front of a car for them.

My Dandie is 9 which is middle aged for his breed, but ol' diabeetus is cuttting his life short. He's lost most of his eyesight in less than a year.:(

Cool!cause every boy sidekick needs a hero!! My best friend "NOBLE!"

( my girl got him as a birthday present for me!) and he was on the lust to be euthanize cause black dogs and cats have a terrible time getting adopted...and well i am "Black Vulcan!" it fits!!! i love him!!

My cat Phia, short for Philadelphia. Always sleeping in humorous positions, or being silly.

My dog. My sister named her Roxie, though she answers to the name Doodle for whatever reason.

Need advice: I am getting divorced and have moved in with my brother. I brought my cat with me and he isn’t adjusting well. My brother has a cat of his own and we’ve kept mine in a cage to help introduce them. It’s been several days and they still aren’t getting along. His hisses at mine while mine stays totally calm. However, mine meows all night if I’m not next to him and sometimes even if I am.

My brother has a plug in hormone spray that is supposed to calm a cat. It did wonders for his, who was always standoffish. Mine has been nervous for a long time. Personally I think my soon to be ex-father in law kicked the cat pretty hard. He told us that he had kicked one of ours but didn’t say which one. There were three in total.

Any advice?

I had that issue when I took in a cat my brother was forced to give up when he moved. It took a while for the two cats to get along but they eventually settled. Your cat has moved and changed his environment. It’s going to be hard on him. Likewise when I moved last year, one of my cats took it extremely hard. Be patient with him and things will improve over time. Have you let him out of the cage to acclimate with the cat?

are they the same gender? Fixed?

Sorry for the delay.

Mine is male, his is female. Both are neutered. I took mine to the vet about two weeks ago and he said the cat is healthy. He gave some anti anxiety pills for my brother’s cat, since she is the one growling and hissing. She won’t take the pill and he won’t force her. We put it in her dry food, dabbed it in butter and tried to wrap it in deli meat. She wouldn’t take it. She just isn’t accepting him. I keep him locked in my room and she still hisses at him through the door. Meanwhile I’m sure he is stressed out by being locked in the room all the time. He keeps waking me up at night and it’s making me crazy.
