Earlier Bay said that if we make some noise we may be able to get the movie released a day early so I thought it would be a good idea to start a poll.

Here is exactly what Bay said

"Hey, i want to thank everyone for the kind words on the trailer. I'm so used to seeing robots I kind of got bored with the trailer. I forget you have not seen them. When they put the piece together I kept wanting to show our truly awesome shots - but we didn't. I can without a doubt say we have just teased you on this trailer. We have so many awesome shots that will never be in our ads. I bet this will be one of the rare trailers that does not show you the true money shots of the movie.

I would also like fans opinion on opening on July 3rd instead of the 4th. The studio kind of sort of is thinking about which might mean "no". If you spread the word on the Net - they might listen. The 3rd everyone is off from work, I say "what the ****" play the movie - "give'em giant **** robot early"!!!

start posting.

It is a nice nod to fans to give this one extra day. It also will be a good litmus test for the studio to see who motices the change in release date, particularly if they do it without advertising it. Kind of like a sneak release to see who notices.

I don't really care about the July 3rd thing. But it needs to be released to reviewers and magazines way before that. Weeklies like New York Magazine get to see special screenings over a week in advance (because the mag comes out on Mondays).

Most movies that don't do this usually end up sucking. So the studio keeps it away from critics for as long as possible. If this movie does the same, it's a bad sign.

I was going to the midnight showings anyway, so why not a few hours earlier.

I don't think the one day makes a big difference but it would be nice seeing early.

I'd love to get it a day earlier so after work I can see it and go again on the 4th. I love to see movies at least twice so I can make a sound judgement.

Screw you guys, I'm seeing it on June 28

JULY 3rd BABYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

JULY 2nd MIDNIGHT SHOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ditto.

No, it doesn't make any sense. It will just hurt TF's box office opening, as there was no movie with Tuesday as opening day, which made a great result. The best way would be just to go with July 4th, as it's also Day of Independence, so TF can earn much more money.
