which PG 13 movies you think should have been rated R ? i say meet the fockers should have been R cause of all the talk about sex and body parts.

Americans have weird rating system. Like American Pie was rated R and in Finland it is K-11. Same goes for Reloaded. Meet the Fockers was K-11 too.

But Estonia has even lover ratings than us.

Well Overseas nudity is ok but over here in the states people literally die when they see it. It is sad.

ps: There's to many to name!

When A Stranger Calls. So much could have been improved upon with an R.
AVP also.

I think AVP could have made alittle difference if it was rated R

Is this thread about PG13 films that should have gotten an R rating or PG13's that would have been BETTER if they went a little furthur and got an R?

Indiana Jones and The Temple Of Doom

That was the FIRST Pg13 I believe...and if I'm not mistaken, the rating was created espescially for that film.

"The first film to be given a PG-13 rating. It was shelved for five months, however, making _Red Dawn (1984)_ the first film to be *released* with a PG-13 rating."

- Some website

Same with Jaws but they didn't have rated R back then so they had to make it PG.

Indiana Jones And The Temple Of Doom actually did wind up with a PG rating. I personally think it should've been PG - 13, moreso than The Last Crusade.

I can't think of any others at the moment, sadly.

Temple of Doom got a PG because there was no PG-13. Temple of Doom was one of the main reasons for the PG-13, along with I think Sixteen Candles, but don't quote me on that.

AVP. Needed the R-rating and also the script should have been better. Like the book. Character developement, more predators, more gore.

King Arthur would have been better if it was R

We need a new rating system

G

PG

PG-12

PG -15

There already is an R rated Director's Cut Of Spawn, but Spawn needs a remake with the special effects of today & a better story with more action & violence.

-the Austin Powers trilogy

-American Pie: Band Camp

-Blade: Trinity

-Ghost Rider

-Scary Movie 4

I actually remember as kid when Red Dawn was released and the PG-13 rating was created. W-O-L-V-E-R-I-N-E-S!!!!!!!!!

Well, I can't think of a PG-13 movie that should've been rated R atm, but I do know that Casanova should not be rated R; that movie is so tame that it should've been PG-13.

I always wondered why Sixteen Candles wasn't rated higher. I knew Temple of Doom was one of, if not, the main reason for a PG-13 rating. Sixteen Candles and the Airplane movies are ones with nudity that are PG.

The only difference between PG-13 and R is saying the f-word twice.
