For some reason layers are automatically locking themselves up after I put something like a logo onto another picture & move it when I stop moving it it locks itself up. This did not always happen until recently & I know for a fact I did not change any settings or anything & this is very annoying. Can anyone tell me how I can stop this from happening ? Its very ****ing annoying & no the layer in question I am trying to move & stuff is not locked & has no lock picture next to it. It just locks randomly & theres no damn lock logo next to it in the layer window

Photoshop might be jumping to another layer or the background layer. I've known this to happen it is annoying but I'm not aware of any fixes for it. I haven't seen it happen with newer versions though.

That usually happens because you have the "Auto Select Layer" (or whatever it's called in newer versions) option enabled for the Move Tool.

That is what was the problem. Although I did not enable it it was automatically turned on after installing it grrrrr
