Calypso...its about time for a female villain to be introduced...maybe even Shriek...or both together...

Well i think that the general consensus is that we want lizard for the next film. I totally agree, and the idea i've got screams sam raimi's spiderman films too. So we have the set up, peter working with dr connors, who's secretly using the little bit of symbiote to amplify the properties of lizard dna, and the inevitable turning into the lizard, then you have the dilemma for peter, the lizard is his friend dr connors so he can't take him out, but he has to because he's causing havoc. Meanwhile kraven turns up to hunt the lizard and the spider, so not only does peter have to protect lizard from kraven who also wants to kill him, but he has to find a way to turn him back. Throw in a bit of relationship turmoil between pete and mj, possibly gwen and there's your movie. Although personally i'd love to see electro in a movie, i think this is probably the best way to go.

Well since he's my favorite Spidery villian, Shocker for sure.

(Though they'd have to make a hell of story to make him fit; that and a story the would rise the franchise back from the dead. DAMN YOU RAMI!!!:cmad:)

A movie, especially a superhero epic, is only as good as its villian. Let's sum the situation up in that respect: The Big Three are out of the picture; the Osborn line is gone to the Great Supervillain Lair in the Sky, Otto is sleeping with the octopuses, and Venom's supposed to be getting his own spinoff. So, in my never-humble opinion, the suckitude is only going to increase from here.
:sleepy:

Yeah, the 2.4 Billion dollar franchise is dead, well, according to a complete jackass. If Spider-Man's franchise is dead, then no other comic book film was ever alive.

The Spider-Man franchise is dead? When did this happen? I talked to the franchise the other day, everything seemed okay! What happened?

The people who go see these films, don't even know most of Spider-Man's villains, it's all in the writing and direction, that determines what becomes better or worst. There is no big three to most movie-goers, because most of them don't read the comics. They probably don't even know that The Lizard may be the next villain in SM4.

The Lizard is bigger and better than Venom IMO. Peter's mentor turning into a ravenous killing machine is better than a vindictive reporter who gets goo on him.

Jeez we've only scratched the surface of great characters in the movies so far, what about electro? Vulture? hell i personally think you could do an amazing movie with mysterio as the main villain. Then there's rhino, kraven, lizard, scorpion.... I could go on, and that's not even touching on the newer characters like carnage or hobgoblin. My point is that there are so many villains left to use.

I always wanted Shocker to show up in one of the films. Not so much as a main villain, but maybe as the villain in an opening fight scene. Sort of a "business as usual" type of thing where the movie opens to just another day in the life of Spidey.

How can we forget The Spot

and The Gibbon?

Marvels' version of Beastman dare I say.

The Gibbon looks very similar and I bet he's glad that Skeletor is not around to call him names.

Skeletor " You furry flee bitten moron"

Beastman "well look at you boneface your nothing great"

:applaud

*cough...cough...*Calypso...Shriek...*cough...cough...*

Shocker could be worked in well with the Kingpin as his employer. It's a shame the Kingpin was revealed in Daredevil, not sure how well it would work, but having Spidey work his way through guys like Shocker and Rhino to track down the Kingpin might've been cool...actually, scrap that...it'd never work on film.

I like the idea of Shocker in a business as usual scene. Start the film off with one of the cool title sequences, maybe with these huge shock waves interrupting them intermittently...then pan out to view the city from above with Spidey dodging shockwaves as he fights Shocker. Would be a nice way to jump start the new trilogy with some action rather than a Tobey McGuire homo monologue.

As a sidenote, I'm all for the development of Peter Parker's character, but if Parker cries again I'm gonna smash some plates. Especially if it's Macquire/Dunst failing to convincingly cry side-by-side. Oh man do I hate Spider-Man 3.

*cough...cough...*Calypso...Shriek...*cough...cough...*

Again...Calypso and Shriek...two psychotic women gain control of the crime in the city...maybe throw in Black Cat who starts out a villain and turns on Calypso and Shriek to help Spidey......I don't know??????????
