LoL At everyone for saying they look to alien. Why do robots from a completely different galaxy have to resemble the human race? They don't thats the thing. I'm glad that Bay and crew kept the autobots cars. I'm glad Optimus is a semi. I'm glad Cullen has signed on. I'm glad Speilberg is producing this movie.

And hell, I'm glad were even getting this movie made. Now you don't need to be satisfied with whats being given, but some of the comments made on the internet the past couple of years regarding movies like this... its just getting more and more lame.

Transformers are aliens, whether you want to admit it or not. Second: Transformers have gone through many different alterations over the years. Third: Its a movie, things need to make sense. Forth: We are no longer in the 80's folks. The 'boxed shaped' robots wouldn't cut it on the big screen. And definetly wouldn't of been taken seriously from the mass audiences.

Something else you guys (the ones constantly complaining) need to think about. There have been many, MANY FAKE cgi test shots of transformers done by average joe's. They all look like the 80's stuff. Would you of been completely satisfied with a sub-par looking cgi shot of stuff we seen over twenty years ago, that any joe-shmoe can do? Or would you of rather of had actually money get put in this thing. See a take on transformers, a new story we never seen before. Change things up not much, but just enough to keep folks interested, and bring new folks in.

Am I the only one who likes the direction this movie is going in? Look I'm not happy about a lot, but I still want this movie to do great. Its Transformers, my childhood dream was to see this on the big screen. And see it succeed. If the fans don't support it, no one will.

Did you just read until that and stop? It worked that way for over 20 years in cartoon. Cartoon = fan base only really. No one outside of the fan base of transfomers watches the cartoons carefully. People I know laugh at it cause they look so dumb. "How does a gun transform to a 40 foot robot". And believe it or not, I have been asked "If they are alien... why do they look human?"

Look, you might be a fan, but I'm pretty sure your not as big of one as me. I understand where most of you are coming from, I do. But really, sometimes, you dudes need to be a little more open minded. Be happy with what we are getting. I'm not saying take whatever ***** is thrown at you, but it really isn't that bad. We haven't even seen OFFICIAL MOVIE PICS. You guys started dissing the movie since the early draft script review was out. Things change during production of a film. Many people dont understand that cause they don't know how films are made.

We aren't getting a Catwoman movie here guys. We are getting the mother fu**** Transformers. Optimus mother fu**** Prime. Megatron. The names we all know. Staying as true to their roots as possible man. There personalities are all there. You heard the writers say that many times today. They might look slighty different. They might not be boxed shaped. They might look alien (because they are). But their personalities are what made them who they are today. Not just the way they looked. Optimus Prime was wise, the leader, the fu**** boss! Megatron, evil. Wants to run the universe. The descriptions we were getting today should be reason enough to see this movie.

To me, fans are people who want to see their favorite characters succeed. Not fail.

No we're not getting Catwoman. Because that didn't have robots.

And because I say these designs(except for Prime and blackout) are horrible I'm not a ttue fan and want them to fail? What the **** **** do you spew on a daily basis? I say this **** because I want this to be good. I along with alot of others have accepted that this film is being produced by Don Murphy and directed by Michael Bay and...well written by those two guys. And most of the deisngs are changed simply to sell toys.

Do the designs effect the overall movie? Slightly. If they're an eyesore, but not the plot. But it doesn't sound all that great.

I don't like what I see. And you know what? I don't have to like what I see.

If something sucks, you say it sucks.

But don't go around saying "You think that sucks? You must not be a REAL fan like me"

I do admit asking why Transformers look so alien is a contradictory question.

I'm fine with them looking slightly alien like. And only if it enhances the look.

Do I want a bunch of blocks walking aorund? No. But look at bumblebee and say that it looks like Bumblebee.

Prime looks alien while still looking like the Prime we know through all incarnations. And the alien parts work because he has humanoid qualities to balance it out.

Starscream looks nothing like starscream, has inverted legs for no reason. No real face. No hands.

Blackout looks fine to me, just looks too much like a mess.

I'm fine with BB as a comaro and Prime as a long nose.

It's funny, I'm always accused of being a fanboyish tool who can't accept ****. Yet everyone I know always says I lay down and accept everything I've defended things from ths production alot.

I graduated from film school too, but I'm not trying to show that off.

I didnt try to put in your face I'm a bigger fan at all. What I said was I'm pretty sure your not as big a fan as me. What I meant by that was, even I'm not being all that anal about the way they look. But I guess you'd have to know me personally to understand where I'm coming from. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions. True.

This is a Transformers movie though. With the characters, and personalities we love. Some look a little different yes. Some fans (not anyone in particular) want this movie to fail. Already giving it bad word of mouth means bad news for a sequel. I want to own a Transformers movie collection. I'm pretty happy with what we are getting.

You don't have to agree, but you don't have to be a nagging baby about it either. Again, Zer00 my posts weren't to you in particular, I haven't read much of what you've been saying in this thread, or forum for that matter. I'm just talking about what I've been hearing and seeing in general.

First, Optimus looks amazing, and perfect in my opinion. The only thing I wouldn't have done is the flames, but they're not that bad. I love Optimus.

Blackout looks sick too, along with Bumblebee.

Starscream, however, looks like a weird version of The Fly; where instead of using his teleporter with just a fly in the machine, Jeff Goldblum had a fly and a small jet in his telepetor. He need to be slimmer, and his face needs to be more human like. The problem with having characters that look so alien is that you lose the emotion that you can relate to. It essentially turns into power rangers. If they were just Aliens that didn't talk it would be better, but that's not the case.

Oh, and as far as that argument above me goes, I think one of you is taking all the changes alittle too well and the other one is reacting alittle too much.
