Pretty good, good tone. Only thing bad is the SFX budget but it's a CW TV show, don't expect the moon and you won't be disappointed. I liked the acting and again, everyone mostly avoids being overly melodramatic about everything, which will make this show a good contrast with Arrow.

The entire thing is basically SPOILERS, though, so be warned.

Glad to see they aren't avoiding the future storyline/Eddie Thawn thing, even if it's been moved WAY back to 2024 from where it was in the comics. What's interesting is if the show somehow lasts ten years they'll be required to explore that storyline! Or sooner if they run out of ideas.

Interesting shout-out to Gorilla Grodd, can't believe they're going to actually have Grodd on the show but what with the tone established it might not seem that crazy. Question is how to do a talking gorilla in live-action...

Weather Wizard was mildly disappointing, mostly because this is his first appearance and I didn't like his actor and such very much. I don't know if he'll be returning, though. The show is a bit like Arrow in that they aren't afraid to pretend to kill villains off, on the other hand, maybe he survived, as I forget where the bullet hit him...

I'm glad this show avoids the trope of the police contact not knowing who the Flash is, it's been played out a bit. West knows from the end of this episode.

Again, really looking forward to seeing the final cut and the rest of the show. They seem to have really gotten it right with this, or at least as right as Arrow got it.

Just checked it out with a buddy and we really dug it. Good place to start especially if it follows the upward trajectory of Arrow. Love how they're going whole hog right away with
Weather Wizard, Zoom, the reference to Grodd, and Ferris Air.
Really looking forward to the rest of the show.

I got super excited about the 2024 thing - not only because of the nod to Crisis on Infinite Earths, but also the fact that is looks like the Flash's suit will be getting an update after all. That was definitely a more vibrant shade of red (closer to the Flash's typical bright red) and the white background for the logo! Those are the two biggest things on my wishlist for the costume upgrade if we get one. I hope that shows up within the show sometime soon.

As for the Thawne storyline, I really don't like how they're amalgamating Hunter Zolomon's background into Thawne's. Eobard Thawne's origin in the comics can stand on its own just fine. In fact, I prefer it. Making him Barry's police rival and the potentially spurned lover of Iris doesn't sit well with me... especially if the take the plot in the direction that I think that they're going to. I really don't want to see Professor Zoom become a villain because he's jealous that Iris chooses Barry over him in the notorious CW love triangle for the show. That would just crap all over the rich Reverse Flash history that Prof. Zoom has and would be selling the character's potential very short.

But I won't pass judgement over that just yet. Though the characters haven't struck me as particularly likable aside from Barry himself and maybe Iris' father. I'll give the Flash team some time, but they seem to be a awkward spin on FitzSimmons from Marvel's AoS.

I didn't like it that much... everything felt SUPER Rushed.... all his reactions were rushed... the events felt rushed.... they should have spaced this over a few episodes...

it is called the flash, so yeah everything is "rushed"

i liked the time travel aspect.

As much as I try to ignore it, I feel the same way. But I feel like this is just pilot syndrome. When the actual serial show starts, I'm sure it'll find its pacing and depth of story just like Arrow.

Also, the leaked pilot is likely a rough draft. They're probably going to edit some more before it actually airs. Yeah, actual filming is probably over, but with the power of editing (deleting/reordering the footage), some great improvements could be made.
