Pretty good, good tone. Only thing bad is the SFX budget but it's a CW TV show, don't expect the moon and you won't be disappointed. I liked the acting and again, everyone mostly avoids being overly melodramatic about everything, which will make this show a good contrast with Arrow.
The entire thing is basically SPOILERS, though, so be warned.
Again, really looking forward to seeing the final cut and the rest of the show. They seem to have really gotten it right with this, or at least as right as Arrow got it.

Glad to see they aren't avoiding the future storyline/Eddie Thawn thing, even if it's been moved WAY back to 2024 from where it was in the comics. What's interesting is if the show somehow lasts ten years they'll be required to explore that storyline! Or sooner if they run out of ideas.
Interesting shout-out to Gorilla Grodd, can't believe they're going to actually have Grodd on the show but what with the tone established it might not seem that crazy. Question is how to do a talking gorilla in live-action...
Weather Wizard was mildly disappointing, mostly because this is his first appearance and I didn't like his actor and such very much. I don't know if he'll be returning, though. The show is a bit like Arrow in that they aren't afraid to pretend to kill villains off, on the other hand, maybe he survived, as I forget where the bullet hit him...
I'm glad this show avoids the trope of the police contact not knowing who the Flash is, it's been played out a bit. West knows from the end of this episode.
