PlayStation 3 Price Cut: Effective July 15th.

According to a poster on the DVD Talk Forums, the Circuit City promotional sales flyer for the week of July 15th indicates the PLAYSTATION 3 will be getting a price drop. The PS3 is now listed at $499 for the week of July 15-21, the week after E3 2007. This should be considered rumor for now until we receive confirmation from Sony, but I'm guessing we'll hear more about this at next week's E3 press conference.

I think this is legit, especially since it's in the flier.

damn, and I was going to wait till after Nov to get one. Besides possible rumble, is there any reason why I should still wait?
 
Well I would guess that the PS3 would still be at 499 when the RUMBLESIXAXIS comes out.

There are too many unknowns, when will the Rumble controller be out? Is this really a price drop of a CC promotional deal? Will we see a price drop announced at E3? WIll we see the rumble tech announced at E3?

Well basically this CC thing which might be an actual price drop isn't going to take effect until the 15th, and since E3 is on the 10-13th or whatnot, might as well just wait and see what happens. :p

The Playstation 3 should have a games library. November would be a much better time to get it for that reason.
 
If Sony doesn't announce a price drop at E3 that is $150.00, I'll be taking advantage of this offer.

No, the 360 should always be first. So you can play with your real friends and not the *******s you meet in class that use you for your Wii. Know where your true loyalties lie!

I don't want the Wii to play with no friends! :cmad:
I just want it for: The Metroids (GC and Wii), Eternal Darkness (GC), Rogue Leader (GC), Smash Bros. (Wii), Super Paper Mario (Wii), Zelda: Super wolf edition (Wii), and some VC titles :(
