Plot Holes and Continuity Errors

We don't. Aristotle just defines himself by what he hates rather than what he likes.
Don't be absurd. You hate the show as much as I do. Besides, everyone here knows I'm a DC fanboy. I'm also a beer fanboy and a socialist fanboy and a marijuana fanboy and a Star Wars fanboy and a history fanboy and a humor fanboy and a theater fanboy. The only things in this world I hate are Marvel Comics and the US Government.

But hey, as long as we're talking about wierd contuinuity, how bout those OMACs.

So now, we have 4 types of OMACS

Billy Blank: new yet classic free will OMAC
ReMac: Outsiders new toy with 6 arms
Last OMAC: this was the drug addict from the OMAC miniseries (not sure how it ended)
Regular OMACs: these the leftovers from infinite crisis who still show up every so often.

How's that for planning?

Correction:
The Infinite Crisis OMACs, who do still seem to pop up.
The New OMACs, which we saw in Countdown, very similar to the IC OMACs, but also markedly different in attitude and mission.
The Last OMAC, from the Brave New World (what the hell happened to the BNW idea?) miniseries.
Billy Blank: Classic free-will OMAC.
REMAC: BATO.

I don't see that as a continuity error, however. REMAC, for one, will be solved as soon as the "Two Brothers Eye" question is solved. Billy Blank will be solved as soon as we know which world he's from. Last OMAC is probably shakin' it somewhere. New OMACs are gone, as are the IC OMACs.

There's also the series of OMACs produced in Superman: For Tomorrow.

Whoa...what the hell were they again? I remember that arc, but I don't remember OMACs...

A line of people genetically engineered using both technology and magic. That dude Equus that Superman fought was OMAC mark III and Father Leone ended up being IV. The hardcore mercenary guy was representing the organization who was designing them, but a bunch of mystery men in fancy suits (presumably Checkmate beauracrats) turned them down, saying they were going in another direction (presumably with what OMACs we all know and love from Infinite Crisis)

No, there were dozens of threads Azzarello obviously left to be picked up on by others, and they were nearly all ignored. Leone appeared a few times in Rucka's Adventures of Superman (God I miss when Superman comics were good) while For Tomorrow was going on and Orr appeared again recently in Countdown, but most everything else has either been retconned or outright ignored.

Hasn't DC been kinda mum on Superman's current origin/background? I've been reading the books and I'm fine with the status quo, but has there been any telling on what Superman's official origin is now since Infinite Crisis?

I think it's due to the Siegal lawsuit.

His official origin is still basically the same, though. All we're really missing are the details. Oh, and apparently he hung out with the Legion as a teenager after all, only he was called Superman even then.

Yeah, I do remember that now. And I remember noticing Orr and wondering what they were doing with him...and they did nothing! That subplot was just ****ing dropped. God, that book gets worse every time I turn around. It's over, and it's still getting worse.

Art director, I think. The whole show's visual style is based on a version of his comic art style, simplified for animation. He has a website that has a bunch of pics up:

http://www.jeffmatsuda.com/

He's basically a Joe Mad clone.

I have to be honest I find him relatively inoffensive.

I mean there's reasons to hate The Batman and Jackie Chan Adventures and suchlike but the art style ain't really at the top of my list. I mean like a Paul Dini-written Batman drawn by him would be a hell of a lot more tolerable than a Bruce Timm Batman written by whoever in hell wrote for that show.

I don't even find him that overly much like Maduriera. His stuff looks a lot cleaner, more angular and streamlined which cancels out maybe the top 3 of my reasons for hating Joe Mad.

That show was his baby. He was more than just art director. He was producer.

Okay yeah that changes everything. Jeff Matsuda totally sucks.

Yeah, he's responsible for Batman being basically an anime-style metahuman in those early seasons.

For Tomorrow was bad, or Countdown?

I absolutely loved For Tomorrow.

I think he was talking about Countdown. We already established that Azzarello left Orr relatively undefined after For Tomorrow.

I hated For Tomorrow. Azzarello turns Batman into a whiney baby in his Batman run, then goes to Superman and does the same thing...ugh.

I didn't think Superman or Batman were whiny in Azzarello's runs...
