Both the daughter and the father were arrested for assaulting a peace officer. "The father basically attacked police officers as they were trying to take the daughter into custody after she ran off."

They file charges against a girl they tried to kidnap for fighting back, and against the father and they didn't even identify themselves as cops.

Guess, it just goes to show that it doesn't take much intelligence to be a cop.

Man I feel sorry for you Americans sometimes, most of your cops seem to be frickin ********s. And the thing is, they have guns. The police over here in Britain are seen as a joke, they'd probably just get knocked out if they tried something like this.

Um, excuse me? attacking a twelve year old girl was appropriate? I would sue the city if I were that dad.

Let's address the fact that the cops clearly made a mistake. Three men approached the same girl and attempted to make an arrest in plain clothes. If I were the father not only would I be equally upset but I would probably respond in the same way. However a police officer must do what he thinks is necessary to defend himself and protect himself. If I think that I am approaching a violent or unruly suspect I will use any force necessary. If I think that I am arresting a prostitue who's screaming the word "Daddy" I'm probably going to except a pimp. If I see a man running at me I'm probably now going to take him down.

The whole thing could've been fixed if the cops were wearing uniforms. There is a need for plain clothes cops which I understand but unless someone is clearly marked as a police officer if they attack my daughter I will shoot them until they are dead.

I think everyone's lucky to still be alive and the situation could've been handled better or it could've been far far worse.

Yea but come on man, it's a 12 year old girl we are talking about. How much harm can she do to three fully grown men? They are scum for hitting her back. If a 12 year old girl OR boy started punching me or whatever, I would just take it like a man is supposed to.
