Police Officer Violently Attacks 15 Yr Old Girl

Seems he enjoyed the opportunity to punch and push a woman against a wall. She even looked unconscious for a moment. Appalling.

Guess you missed the part where it said she had no injuries. Don't pretend she's an innocent victim. She was kicked out of school, drunk, and fighting with her mother moments earlier and the reason why the cop went after her. If he shouted for her to stop, she would have just run and been tackled anyway.

not really. she's no dangerous criminal, and this guy ain't dirty harry. his job in this case should have been to detain her with minimal force. her deserving it, whether true or not (and i don't think so), has nothing to do with it. cops don't decide punishment right there on the scene, this isn't mega city 1.

I never said he is Dirty Harry, was just quoting a line from the movie.:o

Guess you missed the part where it said the Police have begun a criminal and internal investigation into the six-year veteran officer's actions and he was been placed on administrative leave immediately.

Tell me something, why would the police but this officer on administrative leave and launch a CRIMINAL investigation? Are the police 'pretending she's an innocent victim'????

Next time read the WHOLE article.

When she graduates from college, she'll look back and say ''Thank to heavens that Officer knock some sense into me''.

A girl in my town bit a cop and he took her down. She tried to sue him for excessive force. It didn't work. This cop seems to be using a bit much of force but I mean who knows he might have thought she had a weapon. Also notice you can't hear anything, so who knows how many times he told her to stop.

Ahem...

Officer Larrison has no history of force or use of force incidents with the department’s professional standards bureau, the spokesman said.

Because it's a knee-jerk reaction to the public seeing the video. They're completely uniformed of the situation, see it, and think "OMG this dirty, *******, racist cop just tacked a poor, innocent, defenseless girl. He needs to be suspended and fired."

Next time read the WHOLE article.
Like you did? :whatever:

She might have been drunk and belligerent, but it sure looks like excessive force to me. He charged at her like a freaking bull.

The cops are informed and they didn't like what they saw, plain and simple. Now they're looking into it.

Keep defending bad cops

Of course, ye police are dangerous facists. All police(wo)men ought to be tried for crimes against humanity

It seems like it could be excessive force at first glance, but this seems to be accidental than deliberate. I think the office tripped thinking she was going to run off and was a bit too hard in his approach.

No, I'm sorry, but ye Police are Fascists. No accidents. Only Oppression of ye weak.

I was referring to the general public who don't see the whole context of the situation (ie drunk delinquent who moments earlier was in a physical fight with another woman in a parking garage).

This doesn't make him a bad cop.

In coppiceman's defense, it looked like he reached out to try to grab her before she donked the concrete.

I think the Officer was just running and bumped into her.

It was exessive. Period.

But....I would not say unjustifyed. I mean, I know girls like this. She could've used weapons on the mother, and teacher...or posed a threat of some kind. It's possible. So the cop probably did think she had something on her.....but he coulda just grabbed her. He looked stronger then that skinny chick.

didn't mean to direct that at you at all. i just meant that this isn't a case of a cop stepping outside the book when it's necessary to catch a real bad guy.
