She's Ten.... It's not hard to throw her to the ground, and put through your knee in her back so she can't move... and that's alot less damaging then getting 50k volts passed through your body...
Trying to restrain a struggling body can be very damaging, especially if you're much larger than the one being restrained. And read my second sentence.
Besides, no, the volts don't do very much damage at all.
True, but how hard is it to open the back door of your cop car, then flip her over on her stomach....then grab the collar of her shirt and the top band of her pants then toss her in as if you were doing a midget toss onto a mattress. t:

what if she had a heart condition...
I'm sorry, but any cop, should be able to restrain a 10 year old girl without using a tazer........
Then legal guilt likely would have fallen to the mother, since she urged the officer to do it, and would probably have been aware of the heart condition.
And again, read what I posted. It's not as easy as it sounds, especially when, again, the child is as violently combative as the one in the article was made out to be. Read, for God's sake.
I've grown up with three younger brothers... I know how they can be... but, for a cop with TRAINING, like they have... it should be no problem... if you READ WHAT I WROTE.....

And I've grown up with a younger brother, and have had to teach numerous martial arts classes and summer camps, the camp being in a pretty ****** county. Basically meaning, I had to deal with little bastards who acted like that girl on a daily basis.
Again, the child got off lucky. More damage likely would have been caused by that cop manhandling her than would with a quick jolt from a tazer. The tazers aren't as dangerous as they sound. In all honesty, they're much more of a scare tactic than they are a weapon.
I got no sympathy for the kid. Police come at you, you do what they say. And hopefully they don't beat the crap outta you or shoot you and plant a knife on you.
the cop could have easily just put a behind her back hold on her, and held her till she calmed down...
my 16 year old brother went off, and started throwing ****, and acting a fool... I tackled him and put him in a rear naked choke.... held him till he calmed down... so, if I, with no training, could do that easily to my 185lb brother... there's no reason a 200lb cop, with combat training, couldn't calmly take down a 10 year old girl....
He tried restraining her, and she kicked him in the crotch. It's Taser Time!
I don't think horse **** like this warrants a true response.
