Anyway, the pic of Robbie isn't showing so here's one.

I like her, Breckenridge, Daddario, Levy, and Fonseca as replacements in that order.

Wait, that's not what happened. Her part was cut because Marc wanted to streamline the Peter/MJ relationship. Get your facts straight first before making such judgements.

No one has said that. I understand your POV, but that's really all just pure speculation based on your own opinion/interpretation. As of now there really hasn't been confirmation of anything regarding the Shailene situation (apart from what Picard has stated) . So her return is definitely still a possibility. Whether or not you think it's likely is another story.

They said they cut MJ from the film to not take away from the Gwen and Peter relationship. Also to give other elements of the film some room to breathe as the movie was feeling overcrowded. Never said anything about not liking MJ nor anything about not liking Shailene.

I apologize if I sounded mad or anything, because I didn't. Emotion doesn't always translate through text properly.

Just stating that what you said is just a mere assumption and nothing more. Shailene does have a good chance of returning in the future.

Its not so much that the movie was overcrowded, but adding MJ to the mix probably complicated the Peter/Gwen relationship a little bit more than intended. Sometimes something feels right on script, but when you sit back and watch the film, you realize it doesn't work. That's probably what happened here. Let's keep in mind that Shailene did filming for just 3 days, so I can't imagine her being cut from the film is a huge loss to the film overall.

it's not like mj's character arc was gonna involve any romance in asm2, the description as far as i remember only said that they were friends

Yeah maybe overcrowded wasn't the best word to use there. At any rate, Shailene was not cut because they didn't like her nor didn't like MJ. We don't know what Gwen's fate is in this movie, but its possible that Marc felt that the inclusion of MJ was too soon. Perhaps it just overcomplicated things at the moment and he wanted to focus more on Peter and Gwen.

ah, that's where i've seen margot robbie before. she was in neighbours, a lame soap opera that has been running for decades over here. only reason it is still going is because the poms love it.

daddario is my choice if they don't get shaliene. it really depends on what type of mj they want though.

daddario should prevent "she's ugly" etc from flooding comment sections. also bewbs.

Those few scenes better have made a HUGE impact because I was personally really looking forward to MJ's debut in TASM2, but I'm sure the decision to cut the scenes was ultimately for the best. With regards to Shailene's MJ, I personally believe that it's more likely that she won't be back (for several reasons other than scheduling conflicts), but again that would just be speculation, and I've read a few good posts in which people have argued that she'll definitely return...so we'll see. It's all still dangling up in the air, but saying that Webb absolutely did not like Shailene for the role completely contradicts everything that they've told us thus far.

and having three MJ threads is definitely 'excessive' as much as I like the character. lol
