Now I understand why D+ displayed Trevor's One Shot so prominently. Shang Chi also makes IM3 even a little worse for me. Trevor wasn't bad per se I just wish they would've addressed it at the dinner table like they did, then left it alone, and had a different compass. It also goes to show how they left a lot of the concepts from that film behind, like Extremis, and probably won't explore them again. It's making it so IM3 is almost wholly unnecessary to get through the IFW Saga of Films.
I am starting to also think that I need to change my ranking style to reflect the IFW/EG era vs the Post IFW/EG era because it seems like this movie is going to be the first chapter in a new book with new rules and expectations. The crossovers, callbacks, and ties also seem like they'll be more heavily utilized in different ways this time around as well. Also events shown in the IFW/EG saga which may not have been important to that story, may become more important in this new story in different ways.
Maybe if the next few movies prove to be chapters to the new book, with Black Widow as a prologue I will.
