I would definitely rank Captain America 2 up there among the best marvel movies, Better than the Avengers though? No.. but second best to date probably tied with the original Iron Man.. I wish they would do a Hulk movie that's actually a decent movie... such a bad ass superhero that's gotten really crappy movies... By the way this is a really cool Captain America: The Winter Soldier infographic if you haven't seen it.

  1. The Avengers - Nailed it. Seeing all those heroes interact on screen for the first time was amazing. Bonus points for Hiddleston's Loki.
  2. Iron Man - Kicked off the MCU right.
  3. Captain America: The Winter Soldier - Wow. Great story, character development, and the best action the MCU has seen to date. Take note of these "punchy" powers here, Joss.
  4. Iron Man 3 - Smarter movie than people give it credit for. I've never cared for the Mandarin, so the twist/update was more than welcome.
  5. Thor - Thor was the hero I was most skeptical about being accepted by the general audience, and Hemsworth/Branagh couldn't have done any better. Bravo.
  6. Iron Man 2 - Gets more flack than it deserves.
  7. Captain America: The First Avenger - Evans IS Cap, casting was great, but there was some unnecessary cheese in the world of Hydra.
  8. The Incredible Hulk - Tim Roth as Blonsky was great. Aside from that, a few odd casting choices (Ty Burrell as Samson, in particular) and it feels the least connected from the MCU.
  9. Thor: The Dark World - Some great visuals and some great character moments, but the underdeveloped villain, plot conveniences, lack of weight, and completely ridiculous final battle earn this the bottom spot for me.

I've said it before, the beauty of the MCU is that they haven't had a dud yet. TDW may be my least favorite MCU film, but it's still a great CBM on its own.

Yup. I ranked IM2 dead last but I have yet to skip it once in the rotation.

Even the worst Marvel Studios film is still watchable. I can tolerate watching Iron Man 2 for 2 hours, unlike say, Green Lantern or Man of Steel.

I think it ultimately comes down to preference. I have not been able to watch Iron Man 3 ever since I watched it in the theatres. I thought it was a pretty ****** film and experience.

1. The Avengers (10)
2. Thor: The Dark World (10)
3. Captain America: The Winter Soldier (10)
4. Thor (9)
5. Iron Man 2 (9)
6. Captain America: The First Avenger (9)
7. Iron Man (9)
8. The Incredible Hulk (8)
9. Iron Man 3 (7)

I enjoyed them all to some extent, but the bolded are in another tier for me. I just love Thor 2, I'm so dissapointed it's not getting more love (too much Darcy/intern and the short run time were my only gripes, and the rest of the film more than makes up for it). Right now, The Dark World and The Avengers are the ones I re-watch the most. TWS will probably join those 2, but The Dark World and Avengers just do a great job of advancing and setting up the whole of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, not just the Earth-based stuff. Marvel is on a roll, I can't wait for Guardians of the Galaxy!

You have great taste Manhunter. :yay:

I think we might be clones. I feel exactly the same.

Here's my list:

  1. The Avengers
  2. Thor: The Dark World
  3. Captain America: The Winter Soldier
  4. Thor
  5. Captain America: The First Avenger
  6. The Incredible Hulk
  7. Iron Man 2
  8. Iron Man
  9. Iron Man 3
