But wasn't there a woman who did a couple of issues during this story arc? Or was it an inker?
last one's Gabrieal, Galactus' Hearld.
Here's some art from Thor #12, the issue that converted me into a Thor fan:
Copiel is leaving Thor right?
That little Shadow kid is in Skaar Son of Hulk too!
We at least know Djeurdjovic (sp?) is replacing him for the next couple of issues. Whether or not Coipiel is gone long-term, I don't know.
He's probably got to go and recharge his batteries.
Haha go Spidey!
I love that Coipel's integrated fur into so many of the Asgardians' designs. It's such an obvious thing to put on them, yet so few costumes over the years have had it.
Speaking of costumes, let's look at some more. I posted most of Thor's important ones already. Here are some of his usually-purple-clad best friend, god of light, and second-best warrior in all of Asgard (or maybe third or fourth; it's never clear between him, Brunnhilde, and Sif), Balder:
As a boy in Son of Asgard (again):
Kirby's original design for him:
A modern variant of the purple, blue, and gold look he wore for the majority of his existence:
Another take from an era of the comics I haven't read yet myself, so this one looks weird to me:
Coipel's redesign, which I absolutely love:
And, just for kicks, Loki killing Balder's punk ass in the dystopian future of The Reigning:
Yeah, Loki's killing Balder for betrayal. Mmm, tasty irony.
Who is the baby Loki is holding?
Loki wearing Strange's cloak?
Dear God, I need to read that.
That's Magni. Balder took him to protect him, since he, Dr. Strange, Wolverine, the Thing, the Hulk, and Captain America attacked Thor in his bedchamber, reasoning that that would be the place Thor's most vulnerable.
Yeah, Loki essentially stripped Strange of his all his mystical artifacts when Thor took over. He taunts Strange about it later on.
"And just so you know, Strange, your Thong of Azure Light fits me like a glove!"
Haha, if only Jurgens were that witty.
This one might be a little too old school for some of you but it's still solid art. I have this one in my stash done by Neal Adams & Joe Sinnott.
However, I think that this cover was drawn by Buscema.
Haha, I've never seen that cover before. That's great.
Finally, a hero I can get behind!
Those UN punks had it coming with all their "summits" and "policies" and "peace talks."
Glad you likes. You shouldn't be surprised to know that it's actually Loki causing the mayhem on the cover, Corp. Body-switch.
I swear, Thor is the only person able to get away with using "enow".
EDIT: Gonna add some pics, so I can actually be contributing.
Love this one, just because Thor and Spidey talking TV reminds me of Twisted Toyfare Theatre.
Loki's King Lear posture says just about everything you need to know about the character.
Mentioned this one earlier, and it's more the dialogue than the art that makes me like it.
This last one was one I just came across online, and it's not the best I've seen from Bagley (though I like his art), it mostly grabbed my eye because I'm wondering how the Thor-Martian fight would go.
thats a good idea artistsean
^^^One of the best comic square-offs in this decade. Stark really got owned in that.
