I've noticed that the posting statistics have not been updating since October 23rd, (I noticed this has happened for many members) is there a reason why?

Look at a users statistics and go to "show all users posts," some (all?) of them are showing the last post date from that date (23rd) or even earlier.

Like yours, ComicChick, last post is "10-22-2013, 12:40 AM" in the 'The GIF Thread' - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Part 23

Yeah it's not updating statistics nor will running a search for your posts bring up anything more recent than October 23rd.

we've notified tech support on the matter

Any update from tech support on this? It is still not working...

I have noticed this too

I think the indexing might have been broken. Basically nothing is getting got indexed after 23rd October.

So searching for your own posts or running the Search are both running queries which are not fetching anything.

It's pissing me off.

What he said.

Also, the lack of feedback on the matter is goddamn frustrating...

Is it that difficult for the mods to post an update? Even if it is:
"not fixed yet, but we're working on it"

"not fixed yet, but we're working on it"

but technically we cannot do anything about it, but tech support has been notified and are looking into it

Thank you! ;)
Please feel free to take their families hostage to make them work quicker... :hehe:

But seriously, if the IT support I gave to my clients was this slow, I would not stay in business.

I wouldn't blame the mods. It's like blaming the employees at the counter for the problems upper management (or in this case, IT) are supposed to handle. I've been in their situation in the past.

I'm not blaming the Mods for it not being fixed. I was just frustrated that no one had said anything about the problem since their initial report of it being sent up to the Techies.

The ability to search your posts is quite an important function on a message forum after all.
But no blame on the Mods was meant and if my post came across that way, then I must apologise.

This must be frustrating for them too, and indeed the site owners. As I assume they pay to host this stuff...

Ah, ok. I was wondering what was up. Glad to know it's being dealt with.

I don't think it was although I have been where they are myself so I might have been projecting just a bit. :oldrazz:

Today its the 22nd day since the Search broke.

And I work in I.T. too and my clients would eat me alive if I did not fix their problem in 2 days let alone 22!

Should be resolved now.
