Power Ranger's Samurai

A new generation of heroes is about to explode out of the darkness to battle bad guys everywhere! The new Rangers, Jayden, Kevin, Mia, Emily and Mike, harness the mystical Samurai Symbols of Power to fight evil with the elements of Fire, Water, Sky, Forest and Earth. They are not alone in their struggle. An all-knowing mentor and special spirit animals called Zords aid in their attack against the relentless dark forces.

Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger

Earth. This planet has been defended by the the legendary Super Sentai for 34 years, The Zangyack see that as a challenge. That was when the Legend War began, and then ended. The Zangyack have their sights set on Earth, and so do Captain Marvelous and his crew, hearing of the Greatest Treasure in the Universe. Armed with the powers of the Sentai before them, the battle for Earth begins!

Hopefully BOJ will make Figuarts of Go-Onger and Goseiger. I would love to see Gold and Silver Go-Ons as Figuarts. :yay:

Well the recent figuarts poll didn't list any sentai figuarts.

picture8og.png

1. Master Asia
2. Zero (rebellion) Code Geass
3. Graham Acres
4. Space Sheriff Gavin
5. Den-O Climax
6. Tekkaman Blade
7. Grid Man
8. Hibiki
9. Metalder

Grid Man is Servo from Superhuman Samurai CyberSquad

There's a 50% chance that the Shinkenger figuarts might be it. There might be a GokaiRed though.

People are just hoping that BOJ at least finish up the Shinkenger team if nothing else.

Green and Blue are exclusive(You need a middleman in Japan to get it)

Yellow and Pink(exclusive too)

Can't wait for Gaoranger tribute in Gokaiger ep 9 this week.

I pray PRS gets better. Every episode has disappointed me.

I don't think the show is that bad. First yes I agree writing isn't that great. Plus some of the cast isn't that good of actor. But almost all besides paul, felix, hector and mentor ji are new/fresh actors. So you can give a bit of leeway on them. But I feel some are improving over time. The will probably be better in second half of the season/the back 20+ episodes. But overall it isn't a total bad season. Hopefully they will relearn(production crew) on what works and doesn't work. So they can Improve on future adaptions with gosei and gokaiger in coming years. Like how early mmpr was bad at times and how we improved in time with the mid yr saban stuff.

Maybe PRS will improve over time, maybe not, but I don't think I'll ever get over how ugly the Mega suits are, nor their ridiculously long morphing sequence.

Personally I don't have issue with the megasuits. I do hope we see more out of them in later half of the season. But its a nice change up from the norm with zords.

I just think the Mega suits is a poor attempt to try to make PRS into MMPR, with the mouth plate and the lack of skirts on the females (just because the first Yellow Ranger didn't have it). And the "armor" look like the rangers are 'roid up or something. I love the elegance of the Shinkenger outfit and the Mega suits ruin the look of it. And the constant folding/unfolding of their Mega swords inside the cockpit gets old after awhile.

HLJ just shipped out my Gokai-Oh and Magi Dragon, so if anyone is interested I'll post up some pics when I get them in.

Gokai Silvers mecha revealed

GokaiMachine Series 04 FuuRaiMaru:

Modeled after Hurricanger's FuuRaiMaru, except it is totally green in color. Stores in GokaiOh by dividing into 5. Unfolding gimmick in both GokaiOh arms. Out of the feet appear 3-sided Shuriken. Out of the chest comes a Senpuujin head/helmet. Both Shurikens can unite into a bigger weapon (like Tenkuujin's weapon) which GokaiOh can hold.

-GokaiSilver's Robo seems to be called "Goujyujin" (Strong Beast God). It has a 3 step transformation- transforms from a Dinosaur, to a Drill Battleship, and then into a robo.

-The robo's right arm is a drill (in a nod to AbarenOh). The left arm is the Tyranno's head (a fist is inside the head). The legs are the Tyranno legs. Reminds the poster of a Bluish AbarenOh with accents.

-The entire bot is blue, only the head is red. Has an anchor-visor motif in yellow and red. GokaiSilver's anchor mark (in blue) is on the chest.

-Arms seem to be spin via a dial gimmick in the back. There is a union with GokaiOh, but it may only be arm switching.

It will retail at 6,800 yen, releasing in July.

-Not really info, but it's nice what they did here with the name. Gojyujin is only a little away from "Gouryujin".

Jayden leaves the Shiba house hoping to keep the other Rangers out of harms way but when a powerful Nighlok attacks, Jayden finally accepts the fact that he needs his team to fulfill his role as the leader of the Samurai Rangers

A traveling fisherman named Antonio arrives and claims to be the sixth Samurai Ranger.

Sunday, May 8, Noon 2012 - Room For One More
Jayden’s childhood friend and self-made Samurai Antonio struggles to be accepted by the team as the Gold Ranger.

Sunday, May 15, Noon 2013 - The Blue and the Gold
As Antonio attempts to gain Kevin’s respect as a true Samurai, Octoroo devises a plan to create a stronger portal between the Netherworld and Earth via a secret ancient well.

airdate TBD 2014 - Team Support
When a Nighlok steals people’s spirits, including the Yellow Ranger’s, the other Rangers must defeat him before his victims fall into an eternal sleep.

- Interesting that they're going with a vagabond fisherman rather than a vagabond sushi seller. I guess that makes more sense.

- I guess the producers woke up to the fact that there was a previous Ranger named Wesley (though he went by Wes) and changed his name.

The Gaoranger henshin in ep 9 was terrific, and it makes me wonder why they didn't do it for Gekiranger in their tribute episode.

No toy tie in = less fantastic tribute

Shinkenger will be the next to receive the full tribute(instrumental theme) since Shinken GokaiOh will be debuting soon

Continuing the samurai theme, anyone watch "Jayden's Challenge" this week?

A change from Shinkenger(!!!)Minor Samurai Ranger spoilers

Jayden's dad was the actual past Samurai Red. In Shinkenger Takeru's dad wasn't the past ShinkenRed since Takeru's family wasn't royalty.

Debut of Battlewing Megazord(TenkuuShinkenOh)

At first I wasn't too happy about GaoLion being the centerpiece of Shinken GokaiOh, and GaoLion looks nothing like Takeru's Lion Origami. After seeing the pics of the toy, though, I admit it does look pretty nice. I suppose that it is impossible to make a toy for all the teams in the tribute eps (Gekiranger got none), so Shinkenger should be happy that they are getting something.

I might be wrong (memory's hazy at best) but didn't people also assume that the previous lord was Takeru's father at that point in Shinkenger? They only let the cat out of the bag on the kagemusha plot towards the very end of the show. Meaning, Samurai didn't change anything... yet.

I haven't watched Jayden's Challenge yet, but in Shinkenger they never shown Takeru's father in ShinkenRed's suit. Did they do that for Jayden's father?

Yes that's what I was mentioning before

Okay, they obviously did it very differently in PRS then. I wonder how this will fare once Jayden's secret about
him being the imposter is revealed, if they are still keeping that secret.

So now that Juuzo/Deker is now part of the show I'm convinced this will get better. I've managed to really enjoy the last 3 episodes or so, and while I don't think the acting for the rangers has improved greatly, I think Richard Medina really works in that role so far, and I hope the US writers do justice to his story.
So, for anyone who has seen Shinkenger, what do you think they will do for Akumaro's true plan? I can't imagine it will be even close to the original version. Also, they claimed Samurai Gold will be introduced in May. Doesn't that seem a little early? Shinkenger introduced him in Episode 19, not sure how long most 6th rangers came about in the American counterparts of other series.

Since Shinkenger has 49 eps but PRS will only have about 42 eps, we'll get to see Gold Samurai earlier because they took out a few eps. Also, they haven't aired the first two eps of PRS yet, so the series seems to progress alot faster than it was for Shinkenger.

Yeah, you do have a point. But even so it still seems to be early. I really wodner when they will show the first two episodes as well.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Samurai_Sentai_Shinkenger_episodes

Well they knock off a bunch of unimportant episodes and go straight to introducing the 6th ranger

-Mako and cooking.

Cut

-Mr. Brown.

The only real loss because Bulk could have adapted that story since he's into samurai

-Green Ranger Chiaki and an imposter

Cut

-Kuroku episode

Cut. Since Power Ranger's Samurai doesn't have kuroku's

And by this time we get into ShinkenGold's arc. So it's not a big loss

Akumaro's plan will probably stay the same.

"Unexpected Arrival" has been pushed up to April 30th.

The reason is Saturday rerun ratings have been better than Sunday episodes

This episode is the debut of the gold ranger

Shinkenger's ShinkenGold debut
