IRON MAN
IRON MAN 2 + Marvel One-Shots: A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To Thor's Hammer

"Thor & HUlk"

'THOR: THE DARK WORLD

AVENGERS: ENDGAME

..."How do you eat yours?"

Personally my binge watch would be a selection....in this order

Iron Man
Cap TFA
Avengers

THOR TDW ( hey, I like this film and don't understand all the hate it gets - compared to Iron Man 2 it's ****ing Shakespeare !) And compared to Iron Man 3....well what can you say about a film in which Sir Ben Kingsley plays a character who's more annoying than the character played by Kat Dennings in TDW.

Okay back to my list....

Cap TWS
GOTG vol 1
Avengers AoU
Cap CW
Dr Strange
GOTG vol 2
THOR Ragnarok
SM Homecoming
Black Panther
Infinity War

I omit Thor, Iron Man2 and 3 because none of them do anything for me. Thor is a much better film than IM2 or 3 but I find it drags a bit.

I'm planning on watching them in release order with the shorts the same night as the movie its released with. I'll start once I've seen Captain Marvel.

This feels a bit ambitious, but it's 20 films in 45 or so days, but I don't see any reason to skip any movies or rearrange them.

Thor
The Avengers
Thor: The Dark World
GotG I
GotG II
Iron Man III
Captain America: The Winter Solider
Avengers: AoU
Captain America: Civil War
Black Panther
Spider-Man: Homecoming
Thor: Ragnorak
Avengers: IW

I am probably going to time this up so that I am watching Infinity War the Thursday before opening weekend. I like to do chronological order, based upon where most of the story takes place.

Captain America: The First Avenger
Captain Marvel
Iron Man
Iron Man 2
Thor
The Incredible Hulk
The Avengers
Iron Man 3
Thor: The Dark World
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 1
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2
Captain America: The Winter Soldier
Avengers: Age of Ultron
Ant-Man
Dr. Strange
Captain America: Civil War
Spider-Man: Homecoming
Black Panther
Ant-Man and the Wasp (I'll just save the post credits for the very last)
Thor: Ragnarok
Avengers: Infinity War

Since Captain Marvel comes out a full month and a half before Endgame, I will be going by chronological order.

My list is pretty much that but with a few juggles i think work that i've highlighted in bold...

Captains America and Marvel obviously precede the 21st century stuff

The Incredible Hulk starts before Iron Man 2 yeah but it covers a longer time period, and also the main battles happen in the order IM2, Thor, TIH according to the "Nick Fury's Big Week" tie-in comic. It also allows the one-shots to bridge the phase one films nicely with The Consultant setting up Avengers.

I know both the GOTG fiolms should come before Age Of Ultron, but as they're set in space and characters don't cross over I don't think it hurts to skip back to them after, which then lets the final Phase 2 film Ant-Man continue Lang's story into Civil War.

I dunno what Marvel were thinking with their "official" timeline but Black Panther definitely fits best as the next film after CA:CW with Homecoming following it.

Doctor Strange is another funny one like TIH because it covers a longer time period but don't the later events in that film happen after BP and Homecoming?
Either way, again i don't think the jump back to follow a new character hurts and with Ragnarok being another cosmic film that stands apart from the earthbound narrative, it's a good lead in to Infinity War what with Thanos' ship at the end and not only does it do no harm to sit it after Ant Man And The Wasp, it also allows a pairing of that with Doctor Strange for a double bill of films where different realms/dimensions are part of the story.

And then of course that gives us a big cosmic finale that starts off light-hearted with Ragnarock and gradually ups the drama.

It's the best viewing order in my book for all these reasons :)

I used to just watch them in order of release date spread out over 2-3 weeks before a new Avengers movie, but with there being sooo many movies now and with some of the earlier ones starting to show their age a bit, I'll probably need to rethink my strategy.

That combined with my natural indecisiveness could lead to my entire "binge" being Infinity War a day before Endgame :/

I am debating on watching Ant-Man & the Wasp prior to Infinity War, myself. Outside of the post credits, most of the movie is just before IW anyway. Plus it would make IW the last one I see before Endgame.

Since I did a full marathon prior to Infinity War last year, I'm just gonna watch a handful prior to Endgame.

After Captain Marvel, I'll probably watch Iron Man, Avengers, Age of Ultron, Civil War and then Infinity War. Maybe I'll add GOTG or something as well but I'll probably stick with those handful.

Yeah, best to just watch the credits scene right after Infinity War unless you plan on watching all films again

The Avengers
Guardians of the Galaxy
Age of Ultron
Civil War
Ragnarok
Infinity War

I'm only watching "all" the films when Endgame comes out on DVD.

Definitely won't be watching all of them since I did that for Infinity War. I think I'll stick to ones that feel the most important and then some

Iron Man
Captain America: The First Avenger
The Avengers
Thor: The Dark World
(only reason this is in here is because of the reality stone)
Guardians of the Galaxy
Captain America: The Winter Soldier
Avengers: Age of Ultron
Thor: Ragnarok
Captain America: Civil War
Ant-Man and The Wasp
Avengers: Infinity War

This is pretty much what I'm doing. Might skip Ragnarok and add Ant-Man and the Wasp or something though

If we're going most relevant I'd say:

Avengers (Battle of NY)
GoTG (Xandar & the Collector)
Civil War (team breaks up, give a good view of where the governments stand)
Dr. Strange (I just have a feeling about this one for some reason)
Black Panther (if only to revist the Vibranium properties, and Wakanda tech)
Ant-Man and the Wasp (Quantum Realm)
Ragnarok (It's the lead in to the whole thing)
Infinity War
Captain Marvel

Hard Part is if some of the rumors are true they could pull from any of the films. Just like they did with Red Skull in IFW. For all we know they could show Blonsky acting as a threat to the remaining Avengers since his guards dusted or something. Then all of a sudden it's huh should've watched Hulk.

I started my timeline chronological viewing last night. Since Captain Marvel takes place in the 90s, that makes it second in the timeline. So I got my viewing of Captain America: The First Avenger last night.

I just love that movie. I'm a Captain America guy, so it should be no shock it is my favorite origin MCU film. I feel like it really builds so much of the MCU's foundation. I know some felt Red Skull was underwhelming, but I love him in the movie. Great Indiana Jones/Bond esque villain. He's second to Loki in terms of Phase 1 villains for me. I also love Cap's arc through the film. Going the period route was such a great idea. Does the movie move quickly? Sure it does, but that's never bothered me. The heart of the movie works perfectly, and it comes down to the performances of the cast. Great job all around.

I agree about Red Skull. He's still one of the best MCU villains and that's especially hard to do in an origin film.

It was nice to see him again in IW

100% agreed. When he popped up in IW, my jaw dropped. I didn't see it coming, but was so happy they added him. Cap I think had the hardest origin to do. You knew where it had to end, but you had to do it in a way where it didn't seem like Cap was in 1 mission, and then disappeared. So Cap's whole WWII career had to be hinted at. You also had to keep him going against 1 threat throughout that time, which means lots of time passage. I think the movie does a great job at juggling all of those elements and keeping the film coherent. I think it also features the best single romance in a MCU movie. While I think Tony/Pepper are the true best couple in the MCU, no film offers a better single movie romance in the MCU than TFA does for me. That Cap says goodbye scene is a heart wrencher.

So I just started a rewatch of all the movies. I rewatched the first Iron Man today. It made me realize that those early films were definitely judged on a more forgiving scale than the later movies. It's still very enjoyable, but there are more flaws than I remembered. I'm looking forward to The Incredible Hulk next so I can get weirded out by an entirely different Bruce Banner.

Does anyone think I should try to incorporate any of Agents of SHIELD into this? I don't have a ton of time, but I don't need every episode. I just remember having an amazing experience having watched The Winter Soldier and realizing the impact it would have on the show that it's intertwined to a degree you won't see again.

Quite a few are on Netflix.

I made my rewatch a bit trickier because I am watching some Agents of SHIELD and Agent Carter in there. Given that I started earlier, though, I'll actually finish about a week earlier than that.

I'll just be doing Avengers, Age of Ultron and Infinity War a few days before Endgame is out
