In a fierce gun battle Jesse faces off against Quincannon and the Meat Men to protect his church, while Tulip tries to save a friend.

Wish I could say I was rootin for you Jesse, but you brought this **** on yourself.

Holy crap, I think they are actually going to show Odin's......thing in the show.

That was weird.

So he must have left the vamp out there if tulip has him in her house.

He really is billy no mates.

Jesse needs to take better care of his things. I am getting worried about Eugene. He doesn't need any more issues

I really hope there is a point to Emily's character soon.

Yeah a bullet to the head from the Saint.

Emily's a boring character but I don't understand the contempt for her.

Tulip didn't really have to feed Cassidy the dog. With her skills, she can surely rob a blood bank dry.

Anyone know what the last scene was about?

It's only a theory but (spoilers from the comics)
when Genesis merged with Jesse, it caused a massive explosion that blew up the church and killed most of the towns populace in it except for Jesse. The last scene looks like it's going to be some kind of explosion from some sort of plant which might do the same thing.

Interesting.

I'm still loving this show, but I found this episode a tad too ridiculous for my taste. I mean, I know this is Texas, but I can't believe that some cops wouldn't eventually intervene in a ridiculous standoff like that. I know Annville's one lone police officer showed up (and did nothing) but he's not the only cop in the entire state.

Still enjoyed it though. One thing I'm not clear on though is whether Jesse is just hallucinating Eugene or if he's communicating with Eugene's actual spirit, still trapped in hell.

Was it the pilot episode where Tulip shot down a helicopter and killed half a dozen or so people? Nothing came of that either. The show seems to exist in a world where massive acts of violence go entirely unnoticed, and lack any consequence.

Ha, yeah good point. Didn't think of that. You're right; I guess it's sort of like Sin City... crazy sh** just happens and there are no repercussions. Hell, in this universe, Odin could have probably just called up the Green Acres people and said, "I just killed your employees" and shipped them back to them in body bags and never had to worry about anything happening.

The guy getting his dick shot off is definitely Garth Ennis humor. Most Preacher moment of the show so far.
