Lutz, Florida — Nicole VanNeil is just a year over the legal drinking age, but already has four arrests for driving under the influence.

In the latest case, Hillsborough Sheriff’s Deputies say VanNeil was eight months pregnant when she was pulled over and failed her field sobriety test.

VanNeil’s bulging belly can be seen on video taken from the deputies dash cam. She later refused to take both a urine and breath test and was also charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Her previous DUI arrests came in February of 2004, April of 2005, and a month later in May of 2005. All three of those DUI arrest happened before her 21st birthday.

And she's still on the roads why? Lock her up and throw away the key. Give the kid to the father, her parents or an adoption agency, all have to be better than a drunk, drugged out mom.

What, did she change her mind and decide she wants the abortion in her final trimester, and decided to miscarry the thing through drugs and alcohol?

No doubt. She obviously can't take care of herself, much less a child.

That's a great mug shot because you can kind of see in her eyes how awful alcoholism is for the alcoholic.

I feel bad for the baby and once the baby gets born, would it have problems not being as normal as other kids as he/she grows up? I mean... how stupid is the mom to drink and smoke crack, pot and dope during her pregnancy? Its disgusting. Im sorry, but looking at it this way, the outcome doesn't look so good especially the unborn baby. I wish it'll be a healthy one but if the baby doesn't functionable as well as a normal baby would, well blame the influence of alcohol, drug and the mother who in her own right mind can't do anything that shows she's responsible.

Its women like her drives men like myself up the wall. She ain't mature thats for sure.

she had a choice, but she chose the latter end of ...well how else can I put it? Its like your throwing a baby's life away by doing these things that aren't healthy.

I already feel bad for the baby.

Alot of alcohol just damages your brain, so congrats.

Here's a related story from yesterday:

A pregnant woman driving a stolen vehicle ran from police and hit two undercover police vehicles before she was arrested about 12:30 a.m. Friday.

Two plainclothes Mesa officers were slightly injured in the incident.

Police said the suspect, 25-year-old Angelina Sanchez of Phoenix, was seen driving a stolen vehicle in Mesa and was followed to Tempe where officers attempted to stop her.

Police said she failed to yield and did a U-turn in the 1800 block of East Apache Trail where she struck a Mesa undercover vehicle from the rear.

An air unit followed the vehicle to Extension just north of Main Street in Mesa and officers set up a perimeter because it appeared the driver was going to bolt from the car. An unmarked gang unit vehicle positioned at Main Street and Extension was hit by the stolen car head-on, police said.

Sanchez, who is six months pregnant, was arrested and taken to Mesa General Hospital for evaluation. Police said she showed signs of drug impairment.

Sanchez faces two charges of aggravated assault, DUI, hit and run, possession of a stolen vehicle and felony flight.

*shakes his head* Shame on them, they're not only putting their own lives on the line but putting their baby at risk.

:( gah. I wish I could help...

Something tells me, if the girl is only 21, an alcoholic, and pregnant, these two options are probably not so hot either. Just a thought.

I wonder. Each state has different laws determining at which point a fetus is a life. What these women are doing could possibly be considered reckless endangerment of a minor.

I totally agree. Here in my state, pretty much your first offense causes you to lose your license for a year. And any other DUI offense after that results in 5 year loss, 10 year loss, and lots of jail time.

God, I hope they put her in jail for sure this time. She doesn't deserve to be a mother, she obviously makes horrible choices. Judging from her crackhead look, she probably got knocked up during a "train"session:o

My thoughts exactly...they could even be worse...however it might not be the case, they might be well adjusted and responsible adults...who knows but the government should step in and decide the best option for the kid.... in any case the baby should not go back to the mother....

Agreed. I don't know how various state laws are, but it should be mandatory in every state that a pregnant woman will lose their rights as a parent if they are arrested for a DUI or drug charge.
