Transformers Prime Speaks is up!!

Just don't forget that you are comparing voice recordings from 80's technology to todays digital recordings, it will never be on the money. Besides, effects "will" be added so don't jump the gun.
michael jackson still sounds the same....("singing")

So did they just pick the winning lines at random? Because some of those are absolutely terrible. "It's prime time"?! You can hear Peter Cullen die a little inside as he says that one.

Wow...they should have gone with Gary Chalk.

I mean come on Cullen, if you can say 'Believe it!' in a Naruto promo (which, for the record, I am a supporter of 'Believe it!') then you can at least put some friggin' energy into these things. I'm only scolding you because...well, you do some promos for Toonami, and you're my senpai of sorts.

To be honest, Cullen did less then what, 100 episodes as Prime, right? Chalk's done far more, I think he deserved the role more, if anything, but then again, my opinion does not matter here, does it?

EDIT: It's like Spider-Man, of sorts. With Great Voice Comes Great Responsibility!

EDIT 2: Fixed spelling error in my last edit.

I'd have to agree with you on that point. I mean I think it's cool they went old school but Chalk has more Prime under his belt.
:trans:

there not bad some are better than others, but they do need some working with to get the "robotic" edge

It'd be no fun if they revealed the robot SFX this early. :woot:

...

and we wonder why no one listens to fanboys

Those lines are on the wrong side of clever.

Having more time in the job doesn't automatically make you better.

Sean Connery did less Bond movies than Roger Moore (actually, both did 7, but NSNA is not canon).

Aah. :o

I wasn't even aware of the history behind that film.

Your right but when you listen to the two actors today Chalk sounds a heck of a lot better then Cullen. At first I was gunho about Cullen being back. After hearing those lines i pulled out Beast Wars. The differance is perffectly clear. Chalk sounds so much better.

For those of you who are *****ing about the way Prime talks ...

3 Words :

Get outta here!

Thats how he has talked since the beginning , since the cartoon. Sort of like Silverbolt in Beast Wars ... :woot: This is Optimus "Motherf#cking" Prime were hearing after sooo many years! Cant wait

Agreed. I was sortof scratching my head when I was reading the complaints. He sounds like freaking Optimus Prime. I still get goosebumps when I hear "One shall stand, one shall fall!"

To each his own, but Chalk will always sound corny to me. It sounds like he's TRYING to sound like Cullen, to me anyway.

Agreed, he is Cullen minus the balls.

I hope it has a mechanical type sound in when the movie comes out.

I thought it sounded off the first time i heard it too, but then some1 posted an mp3 with a robotic sound to some of them and they sound much better. I personally think he just recorded them as is, no real delivery just read them out to get it online a.s.a.p.

^^^^

"That's the most ******ed thing I ever heard".

BTW, the website says it's pretty clear: send in the lines and PETER CULLEN will read 'em, not "send in the lines and Peter Cullen will read em as Optimus Prime".

Optimus always had a sort of "regal epicness" to his lines but these clips are specific "one liners". don't put to much stock in how they will effect the total direction of the movie.

I'll bet him did them on the fly too. besides them probley not haveing the full effect sound for his voice down. they don't wanna use a sound that may not be the "movie effect"

You know now that i go back to the original movie and listen. he had a "younger" voice (obviousely) plus there wasen't to much of a voice effectas it was more like his normal voice plus a layer behind it that was faint that sounded like he was talking through a rolled up poster. I know that's like a strange way to put it. but i rolled up a poster and it was pretty close.

Semanitcs, That infers that he would as optimus prime. they wouldn't have had him read them so dramaticly if it was suppose to be "Peter Cullen" reading the lines. Do you think he sounds like that when he orders his coffee with "a little suger, and a lot of cream".
